If you look closely at today's picture, you'll notice that the necklace says Ode to Joy. The sentiment is especially fitting since today is my first day back to school. I just love this time of year; the excitement, the newness, the energy, everything is fresh and full of promise.

Too early for school. Ours is still a couple weeks away. Enjoy those first few days. It will be nice when you get back in the routine.
I think that teachers have a different rhythm to the year, one which I envy! This fall-ish time is time to start anew, a time full of possibilities!

We still have about 4 more weeks before we hear that one but I am taking each day until then and savoring the summer.

I hope it is a great season for you. When I was a young girl, I loved to get a new plaid dress to wear for the first day of school. I didn't always get one, but when I did, I was sooooo excited!
Have a wonderful beginning week. We (the staff) start next Monday with students coming Thursday. Beginnings are exciting and also a little bit scary, aren't they?

Back to school is always the most exciting time. Did you get a new outfit? I used to work in a store and all the teachers would come shopping for a first day of school dress. Hope your first day back was a lot of fun!
