Ode, 1874
We are the music makers.Happy Sunday, friends.
And we are the dreamers of dreams.
Wandering by the lone sea-breakers,
And sitting by desolate streams; -
World-losers and world-forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams:
Yet we are the movers and shakers
Of the world for ever, it seems.

I have always loved that poem. I haven't thought of it in several years. Thanks for reminding me of it. Hope your summer is lovely!
How I would love being more the movers and shakers, but for now I will just BE.
Wonderful.
One of my favourites ... and a perfect photo for it.
This poem has a blend of hope and melancholy; that's part of what makes it stick with you.
