Of Jane and Wishes and All That Jazz

A large income is the best recipe for happiness I ever heard of. ~ Jane Austen

Yes, yes. We all know that the best things in life aren't things. We know that the best things in life are free and all that jazz. We also know that the word is full of lots of gorgeous goodies just begging to come home with us. And, if you are anything like me, you wish for just a little bit more money in order to buy that most precious commodity - time.

So, here's my question. What's on your wish list? If you could have anything you wanted for Christmas, what would it be?

Here's mine.
a pedicure followed by a two hour massage +high heels that don't hurt my feet
this dreamy garland to hang instead of bedroom curtains + a perfect water view from said window
tickets to see Chicago on Broadway + the voice to sing like that
another tote bag for my collection + at least one overseas trip this year
this perfect necklace + plus the wisdom to remember all the joyful blessings that are mine
one gorgeous calendar + more time to play with the two I love most

Your turn.

Happy birthday, dear Jane. Thank you for all the hours of pleasure. Pedicure photo taken by *Cinnamon.

Well, I didn't think I really wanted much of anything until I saw your list and now... well, now I just want your list. Ha!

Okay, seriously?

-- I'd like one quiet day all to myself. Just one. :)

-- One trip into the woods walking with the family and taking photos.

-- A road trip to visit my college pals.

-- A miracle that would make all my roses not be sick anymore.

-- A couple of new fruit trees for my yard.

-- More child-rearing wisdom!

-- And 3-4 things off your list. :)

Great question!

OOO- the Ultimate Wishlist- how decadent! Like you- I wish for time- just more of it- it is already filled with quality. I also wish to peek ahead and know that everything and everyone I am worrying about will be ok. Thank you so much for that sweet comment! You know it's easier to give advice than take it (especially when it's your own)! Have a great day!

Love,
Patti

Relyn,

OOOOH I am really going to have to think about this one. A nicer camera, maybe finally a peaceful night sleep, and that my family will finally be settled and happy.

Peace to you,

Angelica

Anyone who welcomes me onto their blog with Louis Armstrong singing 'What a Wonderful World' makes me want to sit down, takes my shoes off and massage my tired feet whilst sipping a cup of hot coffee or 'mate'. Thanks for the song and the beverage.

Greetings from London.

oh Relyn, you're list is so beautiful, as are you.
I wish to sit by your warm glowing fire, with the glistening snow outside, and chat a long time (or just listen to you talk), music playing in the background, hot tea and soft scones in our hands. It would make me so happy to travel the world and meet, face-to-face , all of the wonderful new friends I have made here on the internet. That would be my wish right now.

Hello,
Hope all your wishes come true.
Here is a quote that I came across and I thought immediately of you:
"Like stones, words are laborious and unforgiving, and the
fitting of them together, like the fitting of stones,
demands great patience and strength of purpose
and particular skill."

~ Edmund Morrison

Seasons greetings
Warm wishes

I would wish for a christmas in Airdrie Alberta with mother -in- law and then one in Edmonton with my family. It seems like forever ago that we had an opportunity to be together at Christmas. Wonderful list.

Well will you look at that, Cuban in London has found his way to your warm fire!

That garland is to die for! But what I'd really like is for my children to find their bliss and to continue on their path to become responsible and compassionate citizens of the world.
