This Weekend I'm

wishing you...

petal strewn breakfasts,

songbirds in every tree,

and roses in all your cupboards.

We're so tickled here at Casa Lawson that we're practically giddy. We have friends from Oregon visiting this weekend. We're planning to spend it talking, eating, exploring, shopping, and going on mini-adventures. All of it wrapped up in lots of laughter and storytelling. It's such a blessing to share time with friends isn't it? And these are the best kinds of friends. The kind you can be apart from for two years and pick up the conversation without a pause or a stumble. We just hug, exclaim, and starting talking. That's us. So, I'll be back Monday or Tuesday.

Happy weekend, dear friends. Won't you tell me what delights you have planned for this weekend?

Sounds like you have a lovely weekend ahead, dear Relyn. Enjoy every moment with your friends. As for me, am packing for my trip to Savannah and taking care of a million last-minute details. xo

Hi Relyn,

Have a good time. We have a friend visiting also, so fingers crossed that the sunshine holds!

Sounds positively delightful Relyn. Hope you have a wonderful time.
I'll be picking my hubby up from the airport this morning. Then getting my hands good and dirty in the garden. We have sun, sun, sun, this weekend, so we'll be spending lots of time outdoors.
Love,
Suvarna

sounds wonderful Relyn. i am in B'ham this weekend with my brother and we just got back from a full day of enjoying the sunshine and pleasant breeze, watching children play in water fountains and viewing all sorts of wonderful art at the Magic City Art Festival. It was a fantastic day. the breeze is blowing in the window and i hear the sounds of lawnmowers - just logged in quickly to visit a couple of blogs - yours was the first.
have a beautiful weekend.

So nice! I love those kinds of friends. That's how you know you have a real friendship...when it feels like no time has passed. Hope you had a great time!

Well, that first picture just is too much! I would love to be sitting there right this very moment, letting pink petals fall into my Cheerios. I saw this & meant to respond, then got interrupted, then got busy, then got sick, but I am back to say I made almost no art this weekend, despite this looming ever closer deadline still looming, but I did manage to clean the house between tv moments. Now I at least feel more organized, and surely that will lead to art. :)
I can't wait to hear about your weekend!

Oh wouldn't I love to sit with you inside that gorgeous picture (the first one) and share a sweet afternoon with you over tea, under the magnolia blooms.
That would be a perfect spring afternoon.
