Blurb Love

Do you remember these posts?

Thanks to your encouragement, I did turn our class book project into a real book on Blurb.com. Please click here for a preview. I think it looks fantastic. I'm so excited!

I didn't tell my students what I've been up to with One Delicious Class. I can hardly wait to see their faces tomorrow when I show them the preview online. I've ordered a copy for the classroom, and our librarian is planning to order one for the school library. We have a Celebration of Learning (parent's night) next Thursday night. As a part of our presentation, we will show the book to the parents and offer the chance to order a copy for themselves at the bulk discount price. If any of you would like to purchase a copy for one of the authors, that would be incredible. I know there will be some families who will be unable to buy a copy for their second grader. If that's something you'd like to do, just send me an email. If any of you are interested in ordering a copy for yourself, we would, of course, be delighted.

Thanks again for your encouragement.

This is so lovely and adorable! (Don't forget to tip off your local press because they might want to do a story on your class. Might be a great marketing opportunity for the book!)

I absolutely love kids art. The frustrating thing is when I went to school they gave you paper and said draw what ever you like. In a college course they had a pile of bones and said draw without instruction. There is a really great book "Drawing with Older Kids by Mona Brookes". Just like writing or music she describes how to break down strokes and teach kids how to draw. She explains that eyes are halfway down the head and the lower they are they are the younger the individual. Also, a pet peeve of mine is the BAD brushes that come with water color. It is like painting with a rag. Try the book. I love your work. Suzy Rhudy (Jen's mom). Great Job!!!

Definitely get an article in your local paper. Just the sort of news people want to read. sales will be grand I feel sure.

Brilliant idea! I love it. Imagine being published by second grade...

I missed the earlier posts, but this sounds wonderful and I'll eagerly look at the link on Monday when I get on my fast computer!

Teachers are amazing -- I just posted about a teacher friend's project on the Gypsy -- I am always in awe.

I've always wanted to do a blurb book and am in the process of photo scanning for one -- maybe by Christmas. You inspire me!

I hope it's OK -- I added your blog to my blogroll. I so enjoy visiting!
