Happy Week, Thursday
Music makes me happy. It always has. Song is one of the constants in my life. Whether I am sad, happy, delighted, wistful, or any mood in between, you'll find me listening. And, you'll likely hear me singing. I have a song for every occasion. I am an unabashed car-singer, shower-singer, front-of-the-classroom-singer. Mostly I'm a grab-a-wooden-spoon-pretend-it's-a-mike-and-let-'er-rip kind of singer. I gain daily joy from singing though I can't play a note. Not on a single instrument. Still. I love to hear musicians create their magic. Live music gives me the happy shivers. I even love high school band concerts. There is just something so wonderful and life affirming in making a joyful noise, in creating music, in raising your voice in song. I cry every time I join with a crowd to sing the National Anthem. I sing Sloane's Song every night when I turn her lights out and say goodnight, and there's not much that I enjoy more than being a part of a choir. Music makes me happy.
Yes, music makes me happy, and this video makes me happier than nearly any music I've ever heard. Watch. Listen. Celebrate.
Life is good. Sing it loud.

i get very emotional singing the national anthem too - however often i sing it. i am very much a singer when i am at home - i am always singing along to songs and there is always a song in my head when i wake up.
Music has a way of uplifting your spirits. There's a song out there to fit every mood or occasion. Even the sappy, cheesy ones can bring out a smile. I, however, am a closet singer...can't sing a note or carry a tune, but that doesn't stop me from belting one out when I'm alone. My favorite venue...the car.
Music is something that greatly inspires me. I listen to classical every morning and my day just starts 'right.' As much as I love silence and observing the world through quiet, music makes life so much sweeter.
I too love music
I love you
Thanks for putting a song in my heart
Love Jeanne♥
Hi~ Great post! You know I am with you in your love of music. You made me tear up again- I used to sing to Molly every night the "Night Night Molly" song (music and lyrics original- lol) and "The Day You Were Born"... I really miss that! Have a lovely weekend~
I am not sure what I would do without my music.
no pressure, but now I'm hoping my video and music today will make you really happy, too :)
actually I know it will, because you too have a special love in your life....
Music is a big part of my life too. My husband is an IT professional by day, and musician at night--always live music at our place! And we have similar tastes in music to so it is something we always share. Music brings such a emotional response from me...I can cry over a good piano sonata or great guitar solo! Very fun post, Relyn...Happy weekend ((HUGS))
I love music too - so defining of all the moments of our lives
What a perfect way to start my day! It indeed makes me smile. I will hold that in my heart. Thanks!
Today's Blog of Note is about choir and it made me think of you!
Mmmm, I know what you mean... the "chorus of angels", yes? Love music and how it speaks directly to my heart, whether classical, rock, and for me, even a good rap!
:-)
(((hugs))),
me
singing is like breath to me...i hope we can sing together some day...happy times!
I'm not really a singer but I'm definitely a listener. I mostly listen to classical music when I edit my photos but the rest is eclectic and great for expressing what kind of thoughts I'm having.
Right now I'm working with a rock band. Hanging out with musicians, listening to them talk about making music and watching them perform gives me a whole new appreciation for people who make their lives about music.
Some songs can reach down and touch our hearts and souls, can't they? This video made my night, Relyn. Thank you!
and don't i know how much you are moved by music! it was one of the best parts about sharing the night hours in our little room. your love of music is infectious my dear.
XO
