Lovely Words

“Tell me what you feel in your room when the full moon is shining in upon you and your lamp is dying out,
and I will tell you how old you are,
and I shall know if you are happy.”

~ Henri Frederic Amiel

Looking at the full moon reminds me how small I am and how BIG my Creator is and the universe He created. Having just read the "City of Ember" series, I am also thankful the sun rises and sets faithfully every day (even when we Northeasterns can't see it!) and how glad I am that there isn't a person whose job it is to turn on the "Day".

Beautiful quote and picture. I love looking at the moon. Everything seems to come clear to me while gazing at the moon. I feel so connected to God and the universe. I love to imagine all the people from all different parts of the world gazing at that same moon at the same time as me and wonder what they are thinking. It's neat to think about, isn't it?
Wishing you a Happy Week, Relyn :)

I think this has to be framed and by the window in the room with my books. So moving.

Intriguing thought.
At night when I close the blinds before they are closed I notice the moon shining in on me. It draws me in to the warmth of the glow. The glow feel like a warm blanket being wrapped around me in joy.

I feel the fullness of moonlight; I see the face of promise; I hear my mother singing "I see the Moon and the Moon sees me."

I was already having a bit of a weepy night, and now I'm just over the edge. Lovely post--gives me shivers of the very best kind. xoxo

I feel like I am right where I should be and that there is nothing more beautiful than the moon.

What a beautifully haunting picture that is! And the quote...it makes me totally happy and want to be there. In a room. With a full moon shining in.

Oh, this quote moved me so much I had to write about it on my blog. Sometimes words are just pure gift; and sometimes silence is gift also. That quote and that moon drew me into SILENCE. Thank you for sharing

Sometimes when the full moon shines in, I let my hands lay in the light and soak up the rays!
Relyn~ In answer to your question about our travels, pre-recession, we took a year off, lived in Paris near my sister, bought a car and traveled extensively. It was an enchanted year (plus) and we still live vicariously through the photos.
Wishing you a wonderful holiday season!

How do you find these magical things? These gorgeous pictures? I haven't seen the moon in a while...it has been hiding on me. The sun is hiding too, for that matter.

Oldies, but Goodies
