Blah, Blah, Blah

I'm trying hard not to kick something at the moment. Mostly because I know from experience it will only hurt my toe and won't actually help me feel any better. Our computer got a virus a few days ago. It was one of those nasty viruses that fill your computer screen with trash! You know the trash I mean. Not annoying pop-up ads; pornography. Now, more than $100.00 later, our computer is supposedly cleaned up. BUT. I've lost my cookies, my passwords, and more than half my bookmarks. GAH!!

I had such a good post, too. It's called Best of 2009, The Best of You. All I had to do was add the links from my bookmarks. You know, all the wonderful posts I'd fallen in love with this past year and saved. DOUBLE GAH!! A pox upon all perpetrators of computer viruses. A deadly, painful pox upon those who use porn in their viruses. Sheesh!!

Ok. Well, I really just wanted to say hello. I promise a better post soon. I do. I really do.

Last night I finally watched
Julie and Julia. I must say, this was one of those rare movies that actually was better than the book. I just loved it. I could go on and on. Instead, I'll tell you about this picture. This is a tiny spot in the corner of Julie's kitchen. Isn't it great? I have got to have that light fixture! When I spotted it on the screen, I backed up the movie, paused it, and ran for my camera.

Oh, dear, Relyn, what a horrible shame! Insult to injury by losing your post and then filling up your computer with that...stuff. I hope it comes right for you really quickly. Thank you for all your lovely comments and visits! :) Georgianna

Hey sweet niece, I am so very sorry. I know how frustrating that can be. We had one on ours here while back, but Robert got it cleaned up after a full day of working on it. Then last month, I somehow deleted ALL of my pictures trying to get some off of a disk. He spent another whole day getting those back on for me. It is very frustrating!

oh dear!
that is horrible!
so sorry you had to waste
precious dollars on cleaning up that mess
but grateful you were able to remove it
I guess you have to begin again
you'll see...it's easy

So sorry about that nasty computer junk happening--not fun! Nor that you had to spend your good on such a thing... I do hope your computer will be feeling better soon. And you too. :o) Julie & Julia was wonderful, wasn't it? That's a nice cheer-up film for you. Don't worry... all will be well. And we'll be here. Happy Weekend, my friend ((HUGS))

I say when that happens, you start over and the next version will be so much better, richer, more beautiful than the first!

Thank you for your good wishes! Can't wait to see the wonderful results of the breakdown!

Good for you for NOT kicking!

Ugh, I'd want to kick something too. Daily I have to clean up my Wordpress blog on because of all the Russian porno spammers that insert code into my posts...took me a while to figure out and I am sure there is some way I can block them but I'm not that savvy. I may end up deleting the blog all together.

... still blessed to have you spread such beauty ... even when others would rather spread ugliness...

Don't lose heart, Relyn!!

I've had many a virus, but none with porn, thankfully. I'm sorry you lost things, I hate it when that happens. Take care and have a good weekend:)

Now I have to watch Julie and Julia again and see the light fixture.

It is so disgusting that people can do that to our computers. I finally had to go to approve my comments because I was getting alot of trash in my comment section. But a virus is even worse; so sorry to hear you got hit.

glad you are back and "well" ...

Yes, those who invent and spread computer viruses should be inflicted with one - a terrible stomach virus, perhaps. Something that will have them rethinking their career/leisure choice. I don't know what I'd do if J wasn't computer savvy. Probably swearing up a storm and storming to The Geek Squad.

Hope you are having a good weekend, Relyn.

I'm so sorry to hear this. Those nasty viruses I'll never understand. What kind of "joy" can those anonymous creators get creating havoc for complete strangers? Senseless, stupid and annoying. Here's hoping you get everything back into order soon with minimal distress!

I'm so sorry, Relyn! I join you in cursing those jerks! My 10-year old nephew was using the computer at my sister's house the other day when one of those awful porn viruses popped up! He was so upset, and no child should have to see such things.

Glad you're up and running again, my friend.

xoxo Gigi

Oh, no. I don't understand why people create those viruses. What is in it for them?!
