Being Brave

I wanted to show you this.
I made it.
Just me, with my own two hands.

With you in mind.
I'm a little nervous to show you,
in case you don't like it.

In case you don't see my heart written all over it.
But, it's there, I tell you.
My heart.
All over it.

I hope you like it.

Happy February, friends.

This picture makes me emotional and I can't quite put my finger on it. The trees, the sense of movement, the perspective, the road ahead.

I do love it.

Thank you for being brave, Relyn. It was so worth it. You made me think of a time when I had written a poem that I was proud of, really proud of. That doesn't happen often for me, and I was in my early 20's at the time. I brought it to my professor, and I think he could read all over my face what I was thinking and feeling. As I handed it to him, he said, "Ah, this one's shimmering all over with gold, isn't it?"

And that's just how I feel about this photograph. Shimmering. You take big, brave leaps, and we all get to shine right along with you. Thank you.

xoxo Gigi

Tell us about this, Relyn; why is this so meaningful to you, what of it mirrors your soul? I'd love to know vs. trusting my own conjecture : )

This is wonderful! I love the feeling of speeding along, yet the clarity of the road ahead. I'm a very big fan of b&w images :)

A beautiful image, and a nice balance between motion and being fixed on the future. A well-crafted metaphor.
