It's Friday and I'm ready for the weekend. Before I head home, I like to leave everything clean and organized; ready for Monday morning. I clean the boards, straighten the student desks, make sure all the chairs are stacked, and pencils are sharpened. I make sure all the books and resources are out and ready for the coming week. My desk is dusted and neat with a small pile of thing to do first thing on Monday. Do you have a ritual like this? I love how easy it makes Monday morning. that is how we are when we leave the cottage. we tidy, wash the floors, everything in it its place. opening the door on the next visit is always a pleasure.

I wish I were as organised; I usually leave everything for the very last moment. Of course, I don't have a classroom of my own- I have 8 different classes a week- and I'd loooove to have a place to call 'mine' at work.

Hi, Relyn! It's been an extra busy week here, so very much looking forward to the weekend... Friday is often cleaning, household chores and grocery day for us. That made me laugh -- unlike the pesky dog in my house that decided to up end the trash can in the kitchen because she thought I was too slow in delivering her food. Aaargh!

Regrettably, my office is in general, a terrible mess. And whether it is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc., I go splunking through piles. And I usually find stuff! (If I ever have to move to a cubicle, I'm in BIG trouble!)
The confirmation word is "bammerd" which sounds like my week has been. "I've been bammerd this week with unexpected projects!"

i do that. i hate coming into a disorganised office in the morning, and clean up everyday before i leave.
Yes, I always like my kitchen tidy before I leave because it is the first place I see when I return. I love neat and tidy, not particularly clean though.

I like to do the same thing too! It makes for such a smoother Monday when I come in and everything's ready to go. Each night during the week, I pack my bookbag by the back door, and lay out my clothes and jewlery so there's no surprises. That way I'm out the door without a lot of hassle. I try so very hard to stay organized because I hate hate hate clutter..but if you looked at my dishy kitchen sink right about now, you would never know it.
