heaven in a wildflower

... or a single twiggy plant.

What I love most about hiking is the tiny things you notice.
The moon out at four p.m. and framed by branches above you.
The red cheeks on my child after she raced up the hill ahead of us.
The splash of water as you tromp across a stream.
The brilliant green moss peeking out from under a carpet of leaves.
The curving shadow a branch makes on the ground.

heaven in a wildflower...

Isn't the moss amazing right now? The most striking green before the summer sun sets its eyes on it.
We live in such a beautiful world.

I haven't been able to hike for a while, but you have reminded me of the walks taken and things observed that simply aren't noticed from a vehicle. In a moment, I'll sit on the porch for a while. It's a similar thing, you see birds and bunnies and flowers. Nice way to spend your time.

You are becoming a poet on us, as well as a photographer. A gorgeous bunch of words, perfect with your "background" music. (You must come play the "if i were" game with me - the questions are on my blog or Julochka's; I know your answers will be fun and thought provoking.)
