just for today...

Kodex No.1

I do love a long weekend as much as everyone else,
but the first day back is always a killer, isn't it?
I think it's because when the day off is a Monday,
I spend the whole week scrambling to make up for it.

Do you do this, too?

I thought so.
My resolution for today is not to scramble that way.
Not to rush. Not to push so much or so hard.
That's not really in my nature, but I'm going to try.

How about you?

Today's picture doesn't really match, but it's my favorite of recent photos. The camera is one of my Christmas gifts from Jeffrey. Isn't it gorgeous?

Love the camera!

That's what I'm doing this morning--scrambling to make up for two hours without electricity. Every item on my to-do list needed electricity. I'm happy I read your post. I'm not going "to push so much or so hard" this afternoon. Thanks for the advice.

That sounds like a great idea. It
WILL get done, it will just take a little longer. As I've said before, I love your blog. Very peaceful, beautiful, and different. Diane

Oh, I love your camera... what a precious gift!

And I did not scramble. Not one bit. As a matter of fact, I didn't accomplish much of anything. Going too far, perhaps? :)

Beautiful photo!
Yes, eventhough I am retired and run a small business I still think I must push to get the most out of each day to the point I hardly know when the weekend has arrived.

Taking each moment as it comes is always a good thing. Sometimes harder to do than we realize.

I'm all for slowing down and paying attention to what's in front of me. I get more done that way.

Love long weekends, we didn't have MLK day here...that is only American! Regular Monday yesterday. xoxox

We always say at the bank that if we have a day off, we always pay for it the next day! But it is still worth having that extra day. Wow, what a wonderful gift Jeffrey gave you!

No scrambling.
Such a peace just to read
those words.
Taking them inside myself
as I sit for a moment,
unscrambled,
and digest.
Thanks for this
gentle reminder:)
Peace.

I took the fall semester off from university and so have had about as much vcation time as I can stand.

I'm tired of long weekends and ready to go back to school!

Tuesday the 18th was a big sigh of relief for me after three days of "celebrating" my daughter's birthday.

But really; I keep attempting to LOOK like an easygoing person in the hope that I will become one someday.

I can imagine it's hard coming back from a long weekend. We don't actually take too many days off but we did over the holidays, had a marvelous, relaxing time and now I'm still trying to catch up! xo – g

What a camera! Can you still take pictures with it? I suppose that would be a no...where would you get the film. Oh, that would be so much fun, even just to push the buttons and pretend to take pictures with it.

I'm not sure I've caught up from the holidays and then pneumonia! Was back at work four days before leaving for a conference for a week. This is my first week back and the hours have been long, productive but I'm STILL running to stay in place. We do pay that price, don't we, for time away!
