a thing for eyebrows

Did you know I have a thing for eyebrows?
No? Well. I do. A big thing.
I always notice them.

For some people it's teeth or eyes.
Or butts.
For me, it's eyebrows.

They frame a face and draw attention to your eyes.
Eyebrows don't garner many compliments.
But, if you don't groom them... Oh my!

See what I mean?

An unfortunate side effect to growing older
is that your eyebrows begin to get sparse.
Or the opposite.

See what I mean?

You know, I actually did have a point for this post.
It's to tell you to rush out and buy this:
Go now. Do it today.
You won't be sorry.
I wore mine this morning and ended up looking like this:

OK, not quite. But, still.
MAC Brow Set is great stuff. And cheap.
Just thought you'd want to know.

Happy Monday!

Oh no! Do I risk losing you as a friend if I tell you that I do nothing to my eyebrows?! They are not too bad and it hurts to pluck and my fringe(bangs?) covers them up more or less! But good to see a product that is good just in case!

I'm obsessed with my eyebrows at the moment...after years of overzealous plucking (not that I have many anyway) I've decided to try and grow them out then get them shaped professionally.
So they're looking awful at the moment :-) Must check out that product....

I wear very little makeup (only eye pencil most days) but without fail I use clear mascara to tidy my eyebrows. They are becoming more renegade as I get older, and I live in fear of resembling the man in your photos. And here I was thinking no-one would ever care or notice - obviously I was wrong!

I love lovely eyebrows. Alas, mine are not so. I do not groom them. I tried plucking them myself once .. and kept it up for a while .. but it never looked totally well-groomed anyway and was a pain to keep up. This year, I would like to get them done. Especially if it means I will look like that afterward I'm finished. ;)

Not only has age made my brows more sparse, but I helped it along when I was much younger and had the deplorable habit of scratching at the dryness. Then not satisfied enough with the scratching and, unawaringly, I pulled out hairs. I now have bald spots in the arch of my eyebrows. :(

I have a scar running through one of my eyebrows that becomes more pronounced with age ...

A "character line" to go with the others I guess ...

I love eyebrows on other people--specifically groomed ones on actresses, but I can't tell you the last time I did anything to mine. Except pray that the grey ones would come in dark again.....:)

When I was young, I went riding with a friend of mine on a motorcycle and you guessed it, we had a wreck. Now that I am older, that one eyebrow has a gap in it and I have to "color" it now. Consequently, I don't care for my eyebrows! But I do try to pluck and take care of them in spite of it!

Now I'm going to have to take a look at mine. They're something I take for granted. Thanks for the reminder. Diane

Thanks! I have very sparse eye brows. Exactly what is the brow set? I do like MAC products. I usually just use a little touch up with eye shadow on a brush.

I for sure need this, They never have grown completely back. I had a Grandpa with the one eyebrow look, at age 12 I decided I was getting his, so I shaved the centre....I know a little nuts. and really they never grew completely back. ha. big hug.

I NEVER used to be concerned about my eyebrows. However, as the years have passed I am noticing many unruly changes; harder than nail hairs growing in directions I am not used to and do not cherish at all....I nip and I nip, but back they come.
I'll do anything to highlight the hairs I have left as they point to my eyes that are not the best looking either.
I'll buy the Mack thing TOMORROW!!!

I've never known what to do with my scanty eyebrows...and now that I'm 60 I don't think I ever will!

WONDERFUL, fun post, Relyn! My browns have been becoming more unruly in recent years. I have a big scar under & around one eye brown (car accident many years ago) and the browns have never been the same since. And as I get older the hairs are doing crazy things. I've had to pluck & tug daily for years. I love the idea of this product. Must see about that. ;o) Happy Day, my friend ((HUGS))

I'm with Sarah. My spectacles cover my eyebrows, in any case. I just sent you an invite on Goodreads.

I always notice them too! I didn't appreciate my brows before and now wish I had them back. *sigh* Thanks for the suggestion!

My eyebrows are actually nicely shaped just very blond :) Hope all is well around these parts...have been awol lately! I have missed your lovely posts.

You probably noticed when you met me that my eyebrows are woefully neglected. When tangobaby used to live down here, she used to groom my eyebrows. She was the very best! I'm afraid I'm incompetent in this arena. You've inspired me to go to MAC and see if I can get a tutorial.

I wish SO bad I had eyebrows! I guess it's a blessing I never have to pluck, but I wish I did.

Hugs,

Diane

(grin) Well, this post has me smiling tonight. I certainly could use this product myself. Have you ever had your eyebrows professionally tweezed or waxed? I haven't. I want to but I'm a chicken. But I want to.

Well thanks for the eyebrow compliment, Relyn! Mine are huge and unruly, left in their natural state, so I work on them almost every day. I am pretty lazy when it comes to hair and makeup, but the eyebrows do matter so!

Oldies, but Goodies
