Everywhere I go it seems that
people are so hopeful, so eager for spring.
I love spring, too.
I do.
But.
I try to enjoy what I have
while I have it.
And winter has its own beauty.
Don't you think?

For certain. Beauty in each. And it takes a special mindset to remember to appreciate what we have when things are tough. You are so right.

Yes, it does... We are still covered in snow here. As far as the eye can see, it's snow... I try not to be impatient for spring, to dwell here & now in this land of snow and ice, and see the beauty. Thank you for this sweet reminder, Relyn :o) Happy Weekend ((HUGS))
Absolutely! This is a beautiful picture to illustrate what you say.
Indeed it does have its own beauty -- but I've seen enough white beauty for awhile -- I'm ready for some color! Solid snow since December wears me down!
That's so true... all time is precious and we should live in the present day, appreciating its worth.
On the other hand, anticipation is half the fun and I am very much looking forward to warmer, sunnier days :-)
Absolutely
...especially when it
finishes strong and the
bare branch sculptures
rest against the growing
light in the evening.
Something almost magic
about that color.
Thanks for reminding me
to drink the whole cup,
all the way to the bottom:)

I agree with you Relyn. It just seems like some people always want to be somewhere else. I do look forward to a little warmer weather, my bones are sore from this 0 degree weather. Winter has it's joys for me, more time in my art room without worrying about something I should be doing outside. Have a lovely day, Diane
Yes, winter does have it's own beauty. I am trying to convince myself. Yesterday we had our first snow of the winter and it was gone by the end of the day. A touch of winter, but I can see touches of spring and my heart rejoices.
Absolutely. I do try to appreciate the beauties of the present moment, and there's something so restful about winter. But also - what a zing you get when you see those first crocuses!
Yes, winter does. I responded to a writing prompt yesterday; it involved the five senses. I wasn't sure I'd come up with very many for each, but I did. And those evoked many pleasant and some chillier and uncomfortable memories. Sunny weekend to you.
I sauntered down your page. Now I am committing to writing down your ideas. I do some of them, but you've given me some new ones to try. Thanks!
I think that you are right, yes . . . but I am one of those desperately, madly longing for spring. I also worry about things before they happen . . . and get impatient to get to the next stage of things. All part and parcel of the same tendency; and no doubt I should work a bit harder to stamp on it!
Oh yes, it true--especially before Christmas. So beautiful. So magical. But now ... now I tend to view it as a loved relative who has overstayed a visit. "Thank you for coming, see you next year!" :)
I have always love winter and I am not tired of it yet! It was sad today to see the rain take away so much of the snow....
Relyn, I think that each season has it's own particular beauty. I try not to rush the seasons, but have to admit that since we moved here, I tend to rush the winter. The cold just goes through me here in the winter with all the humidity. Don't mind it so much in the summer, but... I'm ready for Spring!
Oh! Beauty (the words that came to my mind the moment i saw the pic), a beautiful shot Relyn, it captures the beauty of winters so well
And the words are just as beautiful, touching, inspiring ^ true as the pic :)
Oh yes I agree that winter has a beauty all of its own. But february is hard, it's an awful month and I'll take any hint of Spring that I can! x
I'm so happy to hear others who enjoy what each day brings, whether snow or sunshine...I LOVE WINTER!
White cold makes me feel ALIVE! And yes, I am wallowing in another 25cm today.
Beautiful photo...and while I too
Wait impatiently for spring
I also like this cozy
Snowed in-nowhere to go feeling....
(but I'm scared it's turning me into a hermit...)
The beauty of all four seasons humbles and moves me, but the gardener inside is screaming to get out and dig!

I try to enjoy every moment, regardless of season. Each moment is blessed indeed.
one love.
february is a hard month for me... and January before it. i see the beauty though, and when i can't, spring gives me something to look forward to.
XO
