Living with Passion

Today's guest is one of my earliest blog friends. She loves books as much as I do and has a marvelous book blog. She's passionate about many things and has a gift for making time to pursue her interests. I'm so pleased to introduce you to Laura Duet of Maude and Mozart.

You know what my passion is? I am passionate about sharing my passions with others. I have many, many, many passions, but I find when I share them with other passionate people my joy is returned ten fold.

For example, one of my passions is cross-stitching.am so lucky to have several other friends who are love it as much as I do. We gather together often to stitch together. We sit in a circle around a table. We talk about our current projects. We talk about life. We laugh, a lot. We are happy. Through the years I have been lucky enough to share my passions with so many wonderful friends.

Reading and talking about books

Creating art with rubber stamps and vintage ephemera

Listening to music and dancing

Road trips to visit antique shops

Collecting vintage postcards

Spending the day going to numerous bookstores

Reveling in BBC Masterpiece Theater productions like Cranford, Downton Abbey, and Bleak House.

I am a big fan of listening to others talk about their passions and hobbies. It is invigorating to hear a person's passion for a subject. It is fun to get all whipped up into a frenzy of passion for something you love to do by sharing it with others. In fact, I don't know which passion to indulge in first today. I just know it is going to be a good day because of my passion!

I love that there are so many women out there experiencing and delighting in their passions. Oh would this world be a different place if more women's heart sang with passion for life, love, and laughter. Yes, let's join together to listen to others share their passions.

Spending the day going to numerous bookstores

This is lovely. Same goes for well-made period dramas :) and music and many things vintage. I'm enjoying taking a break from work and reading these.

I love Laura's blog -- and I share so many of her passions -- isn't it wonderful to have so many from which to choose? May make it hard to pick one, but you know whatever you choose will please you!

Relyn, I have a little gift package from you with your card sitting out to thank you so much for your random act of kindness. You sent me a book mark..probably in January? Anywho, I got the link to your blog from Laura last week. She was so excited to be a guest blogger! I share many of Laura's passions, but the papercrafts and antiqueing are my absolute favorites. Thank you for sharing her voice and her vision of "passion". She is just as fabulous in person as she is on her blog!

I have many of the same passions. I can lose myself in a bookstore and watch all of the Masterpiece theater shows.
