By now I'm sure you've heard about the tornadoes in Joplin,
a small city about 50 miles away from us.
There are no words for such sorrow.
No words.
My heart is heavy tonight.
I keep praying.
Keep thanking God as more and more family and friends are reported safe.
Keep praying.
It's the only thing that helps.

I'm glad you are okay. xxoo
I was thinking of you today, Relyn, and hoping that you and your family and friends were safe and sound after the recent tornadoes. Yes, it's so sad. It sounds like everyone in Joplin and the surrounding area did what they were supposed to but there just wasn't enough time. Some things are beyond our control. I'm sending up prayers for everyone there, too.
I was shocked by the devastation I saw pictured on the morning news.
So sad.
Your mom sent me pictures of the sky, just as it looks on your post. Oh my! I am so sad for all the loses that those in Joplin experienced. I am so thankful that it did not hit your area as it has in the past. Even though the skies were scary, there was great beauty in them too. I'm just thankful that you were away from the actual area and that you are safe. I love you.
My prayers are with you and the residents of your beautiful state. I have been watching this on the news and just can not believe it.
Many prayers and heartfelt thoughts are with the people affected.
Love and prayers for all.
How very sad indeed.
Blessings and much love
Jeanne
We've been watching these storms on the news...as each one touches down to snatch and change lives. I cannot imagine the fury and terror of it all, the devastation or what the aftermath must be like for those who have lost their homes and loved ones. We've had so many tragedies throughout the world in recent years. Such things remind us that we are not in control.
My heart and my deepest prayers go out to all who have been touched by nature's fury. I'm so glad you and your family are safe.
Nature inspires such awe, and can also bring such sadness. :( I'm so sorry for the losses suffered there and all those affected are in my prayers. Glad that you and yours are safe and well.
I hope you and your family and friends keep staying safe, along with other residents in the area. Keep praying and hoping for the best. The losses have been terrible. Hopefully everyone will keep coming together to help each other out, grieve, comfort each other, and rebuild - and aid, support, and prayers are coming in from other places too.
the devastation just breaks my heart. nature is such a powerful force.
so glad you and your family were not in it's path. i pray for the families that were. it's always heart warming how people come together in times like this.
I am glad that you are safe. I feel bad for those that weren't. It was so sad seeing it on TV. They need many prayers. So sorry. Being so close has to make it so much worse.
Do you read This Heavenly Life? She lives in Joplin but they've survived and their house is OK. Their friends and family have lost so much.
I'm glad you're alright.
Relyn, Coming from Xenia, Ohio where we experience the worst f5 tornado in history, I know what everyone in that area is feeling. I am so sorry for so many lost lives. It will eventually get back to normal but not for a long time. Prayers going out to everyone. Fear of storms will become a big deal for those in that town. Glad you are OK.
Thinking about you and praying.
It is mind boggling how many natural disasters our planet has endured already this year. I hope you and your family continue to be safe.
the photos of joplin have brought me to tears....
i thought about you as soon as i heard the news - i was away from the computer and couldn't check. last night i sat & watched the footage on tv & cried. and prayed. thank goodness you & yours are okay. still praying for all the others.

Devastating doesn't begin to cover it.
I only found out about this today....JUST watched the news and came straight here to make sure you were ok.
So relieved to see you here, my friend. xoxoxo
It just breaks my heart ...
I am so relieved to see you here - and to know that you are safe and sound. Sending up prayers for everyone affected.
your photos are beautiful .. so sorry that nature has hurt so many and so glad you are safe .. i will continue to be thinking of those that were in the way of such weather ~~ blessings friend
My heart goes out to all those who have been touched by the storms...the pictures we see on tv are devastating. I am happy you have escaped any harm and I hope these troubles only bring people closer together...
xoxo
I had no idea you were so close. I hope all your family and friends are safe, but that this terrible thing should happen to anyone, anywhere breaks my heart.
How ironic that the sky should be so beautiful after such tragedy.
Yes, prayers. Lots of them.
Thank goodness you are alright Relyn. What a sad situation. xo :(
Sending you love and prayers for healing from what's happened. I believe God is always right there with us, but sometimes it's hard to square that with what we see around us.
Thinking of you, Relyn, and glad you're ok. So close. Strange thing, nature. All we can do is help where we can. Bless you.
Reylyn so sorry, sending prayers your way and continue to pray for safety, your photos are beautiful, your heart is an honor to know.
Praying for sure. My heart is so heavy with all that is happening in places I hold dear.
So many prayers from so many - speeding your way, and to all who have been affected by the torent of weather systems crossing our nation this year. I'm very glad you're safe, and pray for your family and friends - and all others.
I'm holding you and yours in my heart and sending you much love and hope. xo Gigi
Precious gal ~ leave it to you to tell the story of nature and force with your golden sky and billowy cloud shots. They fit perfectly with your words and the power of prayers.
So well said ~ thanking God for you, your eyes and your voice at this time. Blessings ~ me
The devastation that has struck Joplin, Tuscaloosa, and other areas is difficult to understand. I didnt know that you were so close but am glad that you and your family are safe.
