That sign might look like good advice at first.
Someone might even think, "Duh!"
I did.
And, then, I thought again.
And, I remembered how much fun it is to go cliff diving.
And I thought that jumping off a bridge is likely just as much fun.
And, then I thought again.
And, I wondered what other opportunities in my life I've passed right by.
Have I walked past an adventure, thought, "Duh", and missed it?
Of course I have.
I bet you have, too.
So. Here's to boldness.
Here's to courage.
Here's to asking strangers if I can take their picture,
asking for a raise, trying something new...

Bridge Jumping indeed!!! LOL I love the idea of boldness and not passing up adventures- I am all about THAT! How ARE you??? It has been too long- I am ready fro this year to be over- and I know in your part of the world it will be very soon. Have a boldness-filled day Relyn!
Adventure ~ yes, but bridgejumping? Wooo, I'd have to think about that one. I guess if you jumped out of an airplane, you could certainly do this too. Your'e a brave lady!
Sigh. I need to go jump off a bridge today. It can be scary sometimes.
LOVE it!!!
You know, your April series,
a whole month of passionate people
talking about their own bridges
and how free they feel when they jump,
was exhillerating to me!
I felt as if you did a tribute
to bridge jumping
all month long:)
It got inside me, it did:)
Thanks soooooo much, Relyn!

Oh, boy. I'm such a chicken, but I know I should force myself to be braver!
I am SO much a chicken! Don't think I'm ready to go off the bridge but maybe try a road less traveled, take a chance. Yes. THAT I can do!
Uh -- no thanks!
No bridge jumping for me! Starting a blog, diving into photography- these were bold things for me.
I loved, loved, loved your month of passion. Photography has been the first thing (second to great-granddaughter's birth, of course) I've had any passion for since my husband died 5 years ago.
We do all need an adventure now and again ... wait, let me rephrase, we all need a GOOD adventure every now and again! :)
Brilliant, Relyn! I'm all for bold and trying new... But I'll go for bold in other area... Bridge Jumping, I'm not so sure... LOL! Happy Weekend, my friend :o) ((HUGS))
thanks for reminding all of us to never stop bridge jumping.....or doing anything else that makes us nervous :)
hmm thats a great reminder. today i am doing something that i have never done before. going to go donate blood. whoo hoo!
Brilliant...love this
What bridge are you considering jumping off of? Maybe I'll join you!
Happy Mom's Day to one of my most favorite mothers! <3
Relyn,
You reminded me I missed an opportunity yesterday. There was a woman sitting on the sidewalk at the vegetable market eating a watermelon. I should have asked what a neat photo it would have made! Risk - if she said no smile and move on.
Thank you for your beautiful blog.
Chris
Go for it! I'll jump, too!
Yes, yes...YES to leaps of faith and spontaneity. On the day before I turned 49, I finally went skinny dipping in a deep salmon pool beside a well-traveled hiking path...one that I had passed by countless times, each time yearning to dive in.
Of course...all those other times it had been mid-summer...not mid-September. :-) Yes. It was chilly. No, I do not regret it. Yes. I will do it again.
Oh boy...I've missed a few adventures.
I wish I had the bravery gene. I inherited the absolute terror gene instead, when it comes to bridge jumping. lol!
But really, when I think about it, although my bold ventures might not have been physical ones, I have taken giant leaps off bridges emotionally in my life, and for that I am proud. :)
