in praise of silly

just hangin out

I've written before about how much I love being silly.
I believe silly is a main ingredient to a happy life.
Silly makes you happy, makes people around you happy,
and, if you're lucky, makes for a great family photo.

I made this collage from a photoshoot I did with one of my best friends and her family.

I don't think I am ever silly
..playful,joking around...but silly
..hmm don't think so
Maybe 55 years ago...I'll think about it some more
...but glad you are

The older I get the sillier I become. i, too, value "silly". Learning to not take ourself to seriously is a gift we give ourself as well as the people around us.
Beautiful family, Relyn!

What fun photos of your family. Brought a big smile to my face. I so agree silly = happy. On Friday afternoons before leaving the office to go off for the weekend, we put on a YouTube video from the movie Madagascar 'Move it' and we grove on outta there...Have a great weekend.

That is very fun, Relyn! It's feels so good to have a silly moment just now, to smile. After tragedy that struck our country on Friday, sadness now. I am meditation on love this weekend. Wishing you happy days, my friend ((HUGS))

Great idea, though like WhiteStone I was wondering how far off the ground they all were! I often think I am too serious, but in fact I have "silliness" as one of my blog tags so it can't be all that bad...

Love your photos and definitely agree that silly should be a main ingredient for a happy life.

I totally agree ... with all of it! :) Of all the things my mom gave me, the ability to be silly--to laugh with abandon--may very well be the most prized of all!

Always time for silly! When Graham and Ava were here, silly was the goal every moment of the day!

Silliness is the recipe for youngness. Is that a word? youngness? Youth.
We would be a terrible slump of grumpy wrinkly good-for-nothings if we didn't play!
:)

Oldies, but Goodies
