vacation views

just before sunset

To call a canyon like this Grand seems a bit of an understatement.
Don't you think?

I am so excited about this picture! Only the second time I've really and truly felt like a photographer was when I saw this picture. Which, by the way, is exactly as it straight out of the camera.

It is so magestic, isn't it. My daughter and I got to go there several years ago. So beautiful. Enjoy your trip.

Oh wow! This IS a good shot, Relyn. Are you going to blow it up, frame and hang it on the wall? Look at the mix of yellows, oranges, purples and blues... Looking at this photo brings home how grand this country is...

It looks very much like a stunning photo from a deliciously rich travel book....that balmy golden light
like sunshine through a jar of honey:)
You're a most excellent photographer

That's an amazing shot. It also has the feel of a grand landscape painting. The colors are exquisite.

Mr O and I visited the Grand Canyon about 40 years ago ...and it was as surreal then as it ever will be...can you imagine coming across it as a young pioneer and not expecting it? No photos do it justice but this one is pretty darn close! Have fun!

How incredible!! A year ago I entered the south rim and it was a "feast for the eyes". I have never seen anything so majestic.

Lovely photo! You know I lived in AZ for 12 or 13 years before I ever went there. Did you walk on the bridge?

Absolutely gorgeous photo! Good job :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Good to hear from you. It has been an extremely rainy and stormy summer for northern Maine but it beats 100 degree day drought.
I can see you are enjoying your summer

Wow! I jump for joy too, so I can just imagine you!

So gorgeous Relyn!!!

I have heard that one cannot do that canyon justice with a camera, as it must be seen with the eyes to be able to take it all in...but I think you have absolutely done it justice with this photo. Absolutely beautiful with all its layers of colour. I wish so much I could go there...it's on my bucket list.

Oldies, but Goodies
