Tips and Tricks

You know those ideas that are so simple,
so perfect that they make you slap your forehead and say,
"Duh. Why didn't I think of that?"

I love those ideas. Love 'em.
I get a kick out of discovering them and sharing them.
Somehow, a great new idea always makes my day.

Here are a few I thought just might make yours, all courtesy of Pinterest.

Heart shaped eggs!!! I am so going to have to do that. And I just figured out how to do the card trick for my camera. Saw it on Pinterest.

When I want to remove a sticker or label from a glass jar, you know, the ones that never fully come off. I use a hair dryer to heat the sticker as I pull it off. Comes off clean every time.

Saw the heart shaped eggs on Pinterest too, very clever. But I love the idea of the card on the camera.

GASP! The one for the flash is simply ingenious! And a heart shaped egg? Too cute! Thanks for sharing! {how many exclamation points can you fit into one comment?}

Right now I'm a little short on tips, except to follow your joy. My dear friend Adrienne and I launched our new website this morning -- www.finallyme.com. (And I promptly picked up a load of laundry and sent my back into spasms to celebrate). I hope you'll come visit today and often.

I have no top tips to contribute (other than "it's" only ever means "it is" or "it has"). But I love these, especially the heart-shaped eggs! Must give that one a try.

The eggs are amazing! How cool to garnish a salad with them. I've stayed away from Pinterest so far...I know it's just a matter of time.

What fun! Love that first one! I've also resisted getting into Pinterest. Although I see my images all over there. Not sure if that's a good thing or not.

Wishing you all a lovely autumn weekend! xoxo

Wow, Relyn... I'm having that "DOH!" moment too... these are terrific ideas--all of them! The egg is sweet. And the jar matchstick holder with scratch top--I want one! I like Pinterest, but have been avoiding it on purpose... I know I will get seriously hooked and not leave there... LOL. Happy Weekend, my friend :o) ((HUGS))

Well, I know what I'm going to do with eggs from now on! That's cool! And I'll have to do the matchstick thing for the lake -- those matches always get damp and the striking side on the box (the boxes I don't already nab and dump the matches from so I can collage them!) is brilliant. (Maybe that's why the matches get damp....)

Great tips! I'm definitely going to try that heart-shaped hard boiled egg trick.

I learned that camera trick with the white card while assisting a photo journalist except that we attached the white paper to the back of the independent flash (can't think of the word right now for a flash that is not built into the camera) with an elastic band.

And my mom used to keep her matches in a jar just like that!

Thank you for linking to Pininterest. I'm going to check out your different boards.

Oh, this post made me smile! I have found so many handy ideas on Pinterest, too. In fact, I pinned that very same egg-heart one myself. I've also found some great, simple updo instructions for my hair there that I use all the time now. LOVE Pinterest!

Love that match jar and strike cover, too! xo

I love the heart-shaped eggs! My daughter, a mother of three, is good with tips. She is a list-maker, too, and this post makes me want to write down some of her ideas.

Oh no, it's pinterest again! If I get addicted, I am blaming you!
Those heart shaped eggs could be partly to blame as well.

Oldies, but Goodies
