Vacation Views, the Cell Phone Version

I hope this post doesn't make me the blogging equivalent of your Great Aunt Gertrude with her endless home movies.

How to have a fantastic vacation - an illustrated list

Don't miss the chance to do something out of the ordinary, like taking a boat tour.
While you are there talk to the captain, the tour guide, the docent...  Ask lots of questions.

Snuggle your children, no matter how old they are, every chance you get.  Sometimes
they are more willing to cuddle when they're far away from home.  Don't miss the chance.

Pack a picnic.  Food always tastes better outdoors.

Snap pictures of everything that captures your eye.

 Pack lots of reading material.
Don't forget to bring a family read aloud.

Notice the little things, the small views.
If you look closely, you can find beauty in anything.

Take the picture.  Then, be sure to stand still in
awe of God's wondrous creation.

Take more than just the expected vacation photos.
Don't miss the picture of your tween walking barefoot and enjoying the cool grass.

Tell me about your favorite vacation photo, won't you?

Love your pictures and especially like the idea of cuddling your child, they grow up way too soon.

Beautiful photos, Relyn - and thought-provoking commentary. Since we've moved, my daughter and I have spent quite a few occasions looking through old photo albums. It's very interesting how much happiness is there, and how different various events seem from the perspective of 10 years later. I'm now glad that I was such a shutterbug and kept them all this time.

P.S. I thought of you today, remembering your wonderful Sept. 12th post from a few years ago. x

These are amazing phone-photos (well, they're amazing regular photos for that matter) . . .

As for my favorite vacation photo . . . anything that takes me back, if even for a moment!

I love your last photo especially ... Gosh, I wouldn't know where to start thinking about vacation photos. Most memorable ones tend to have people in.
