Friday Faves

* Funniest Moment: One of my students was telling me about watching this great movie with her Grandma - Clue.  She told me all about it and thought I would really love it.  I asked her if it was a new release or what.  She said, "Oh, no.  It's really, really old."  I looked it up.  It came out in 1985.  gulp.

Oh my but I love your lists! And absolutely love that list of scientific ways to be happier. My sister always says, "No one can be happy all the time" but I say, why not reach for MORE of the time! And I'm trying to teach her teenage daughter to reach for something other than that 'No one...' statement and find more happiness. Thank you for this and can't wait to come back and read more of these. On my way home from my writing retreat today heading down the beautiful Oregon coast in sunshine. Have a wonderful weekend, my friend! And I can't thank you enough for those scientific ideas. Will be putting some to use when the rain begins again. xoxo, Kirsten

Love the blog, Hula Seventy. I think

Good morning Relyn!

I am intrigued by your blog; your style is lovely in both graphics and content, and I see you are a teacher? What level? I'm a high school and middle school French teacher, with nine years of elementary French immersion experience. I really enjoy teaching language these days, and I see you teach English! Thank you for coming to visit my October post! Anita

Hahaha! Clue is a favorite around Halloween, since I don't love scary movies. :)

Some really good stuff here! 1985...old! Gotta laugh at that. I don't like how I am having to scroll WAY down to get to my birth year when I'm purchasing things online. "Trees are poems the earth writes upon the sky"...definitely not going to forget that loving analogy.

Hahaha! My sister Helen, who is 15 years younger than me, is always saying things like that. I cannot help but laugh. (Although, I did gulp the other day when I noticed that the "you can buy tobacco if" date was 1995, which was the year I graduated from high school.)

Oldies, but Goodies
