Friday Faves

* Best Moment: Sloane and I don't have school today.  This morning we both woke up leisurely.  When she got up, she came and snuggled with me in bed.  We talked for almost an hour.  It's been a while since we began our day like that.  Just what I needed.

* Great Read: Living Color by National Geographic

* Something to Make: DIY stained bottles

* Image of the Week: Betty at Rosie's by Andrea Joseph

* Anticipating: Tonight Jeffrey and I are going to an author talk by Daniel Woodrell, who wrote one of my favorite books

* A Song: "When I Leave the World Behind" by Hadda Brooks

* Quote of the Week: "I don't want to be  diluted, half-baked version of the artist I know I was born to be.  I don't want to fade out, fit in, or fix the 'broken' things and change.  I want to inhabit this skin and linger, stay tethered to this gift for as long as I'm allowed, for as long as life permits." ~ Anne Carmack

BLOGspiration: The Sill of the World

* Old Movie Love: In a Lonely Place

* Learn Something: Why the mantis shrimp is my new favorite animal.

* Another TED: On body language by Amy Cuddy

  * Eye Candy: Lovely Favourite Things

* Terrific Tip: Every home needs an organized drop spot.

PINspiration: My imaginary well-dressed toddler daughter by Tiffany Beveridge

* In Case You Missed It: P is for...

Happy weekend, friends.

Lovely little turtle. I had one for a pet, but it decided to run off on one of it's evening walks. Sly fella.

I keep telling myself every year that I am going to give myself a subscription to National Geographic. I could lose myself for hours in that magazine. Have a wonderful weekend.

Oldies, but Goodies
