Sunday Morning Poetry

Eli, Eli
My God, my God,

May these things never end,
The sand and the sea,
The murmur of the water,
The lightning of the heavens,
The prayer of man.
אלי, אלי
שלא יגמר לעולם
החול והים
רשרוש של המים
ברק השמים
תפילת האדם

This makes me weep. I remember when I first found the video where it's sung, it shook me. I lost family members to the Holocaust. Other family members thankfully survived, but after going through horrors of concentration camps and ghettos.

As low and horrible as people can get there are always people who are striving to make the world more beautiful and remind us to hope. We also can't take the people and the good things in our lives for granted.

Till the sea exists
No more - and we where our prayers
Have all been answered.

Oldies, but Goodies
