Friday Faves

Happy Fourth, friends!

* Great Read: The United States Constitution by the founding fathers

* Things I Love: The United States of America, soldiers in uniform, Uncle Sam, fireworks, saying the Pledge of Allegiance every morning, national parks, the sense of reverence at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, seeing Old Glory wave with an Olympian standing beneath; hand over heart, watching my dad stand and salute, singing "America the Beautiful" from the top of Pike's Peak, baseball, hots dogs, mom, and apple pie

* Images of the Week: Salute to a Fallen Comrade by quiet light photo

* Anticipating: fireworks tonight with my family

* A Song: "Ragged Ol' Flag" performed by Johnny Cash

* Quote of the Week: "I like to see a man proud of the place in which he lives.  I like to see a man live so that his place will be proud of him." ~ Abraham Lincoln

* In Case You Missed It: Silly Celebration, Take Four

Happy 4th to you, Relyn. I am wishing we had more pride in our country on a daily basis - but it's good that at least one day a year we do pull together as a nation. We had a quiet day, but a good one. Flying the flag proudly:)
