Personal joys, part one

I recently wrote about the best part of 2014.  I wrote about the way that God turns brokenness into joy and sadness into laughter.  But, He does more than that.  He fills each day with moments of joy as I trust in Him.  So, here's more of the good stuff.

2014 in review

 Sloane has found her "thing."
She's a swimmer.

I continue to enjoy art everywhere I find it.
And, I am finding the courage to ask to photograph strangers.

We attended a wedding where the bride and groom's love reminded me
so much of Jeffrey and I, that I cried.  And smiled and smiled.

We were able to see my brother, sister-in-law, and nieces twice this year.

We spent a lot of time in the woods, walking, and talking, and laughing.

We had lots of happy surprises, like the time we caught the Clydesdales in Atlanta.

What about you?  Please tell me about a happy surprise you enjoyed last year.

Our daughter was able to spend a week with us before she moved to Japan.
We miss her very much, but we know how happy she is and that makes us happy.

This warmed my heart. I loved your photos, but even more, I loved the sentiment behind each photo.

Your life has been rich because you have been graced by God with His presence, by love, by art, by creativity, and by self expression that blesses others.

Such beautiful pictures . So glad that your gal find what she loves. My kids found that individual sports were the best.

Wonderful ... I especially like the one of your niece.

I enjoyed the birth of a little granddaughter in December.

I enjoyed the beauty and moments you captured in your photos. Hard to believe we actually had a time where we couldn't see our pictures until the film was developed. Now we have instant access. For me it was learning how much I have grown in my personal faith in Jesus and the confidence and trust I have in Him whenever life deals you a less than favorable hand.

Hoping you'll stop by and visit soon.

What beautiful photos, Relyn. Our 2015 was very happy -- especially with the wedding of Rick's youngest, Kevin, to his beautiful Miss Molly. Much joy.

I love your happy surprises and the photos are amazing. Let me see, I must think about what my happy surprises were for last year. Our family trip to Kauai was the high-light and the surprise was that we all did so well traveling together. Always happy surprises when I am with my little D from his hugs, his "I love you", and bringing twigs from the park just for me.

Beautiful moments and photographs, thank you Relyn. My mind is a blank for 2014 but I know there were many happy surprises.

WONDERFUL images and their meaning for you, Relyn! 2014 was a recovery year for me as 2013 was tough with health and heart issues. I look back on 2014 and see a stronger heart rooted in God, better health, sweet relationships, good work... Couldn't ask for more. :o) ((HUGS))
