evening ritual

Answering Susannah's invitation to "Pause, look around you and
shoot what you see.  Live inside each moment.  Pay attention to what's there.  Look for the love."
Weather permitting, we take a family walk each evening. I love this simple habit. We spend time together noticing and enjoying our little town and all the old houses as we quietly chat about everything and nothing.

Yesterday's prompt was my favorite so far.  I've really enjoyed thinking about rituals.  I've been noticing how other people spend their time, and what they value.  What about you?  What is your favorite evening ritual?

That's a lovely picture - pottering round an old town and just looking ... I am not sure whether I have any evening rituals apart from the teeth brushing of course. I think a journal-writing one would be good.

Oh I do feel like I have an evening ritual of washing my teeth and face, fluffing the bed up with pillows, warming the water for the hot water bottle, putting my jammies on, then tucking into bed with a good book for about an hour. I do love that time when I climb in bed and notice the quiet.

My evening ritual is watching some television on the recliner with my cat beside me and then doing my blog. The evenings are my down/relaxation time and I enjoy them.

What a lovely way to spend the evening. The sweet simple things in life are the best and the ones we remember forever.

Morning ritual for us now that we're retired. A 2 mile walk before breakfast where we plan our day, leisurely breakfast in front of the computers and then puttering.
In the evening it's baseball and a snack.

Oldies, but Goodies
