Quiet and Serene

"I have seen the sea when it is stormy and wild;
when it is quiet and serene;
when it is dark and moody.
And in all these moods, I see myself."
~ Martin Buxbaum

Wishing you quiet moments this weekend. May you take the time to sit and reflect. Take the time to see your true and shining self.

Surusm corda.

The amazing photograph above is called Bow of Idem With Mooring Ball, and was taken by the amazing Michale Khan.
I find this
music to be perfect for sitting and dreaming.

Dear Relyn,

Your blog comes to me by way of our mutual friend "tangobaby". I love the serenity, simplicity, and beauty of your posts. All so wonderful, I can't choose where to leave a comment. Should it be this post because it is just what the doctor ordered, in stark contrast to my hectic weekend? Or the scotty dog hot water bottle post because my kids always loved the fleece, teddy bear hot-water bottle their aunt gave them -- and it looks like a project we would have made in sewing class growing up in Amsterdam? Or maybe your lemon post exhibiting your gracious gratitude?

Thank you for reminding us to slow down and feed our souls!

I love that picture of the boat on the still water. It's more helpful to me now that it is a busy Monday and I've almost forgotten I had a weekend at all.

And hooray, my dutchbaby found you, too!

Dutchbaby,
Thanks so much for your encouraging words. I am intrigued... growing up in Amsterdam? I would love to hear more about that. Thanks so much for sitting by my fire for a while. You are welcome any time.

And to all of you, too,
I visited your blogs and said my hellos already. But, just in case you were reading, I wanted to say thanks for your comments. They really make my day.
