Flickr Love

Oh, how I love Flickr!! I am a recent convert, but my love is deep. There are so, so, so many beautiful images to gawp at; so many talented photographers sharing their work. I love Flickr! And now, for your viewing pleasure, a few of my favorites.

Jek in the box has a wonderful set called Mosaic Monday. I literally spent hours absorbing these images, following links to particular photographers, always returning to dear Jek.

Did you know the Library of Congress maintains a photostream on Flickr? You must see for yourself. Such bounty!

I can't use enough superlatives to describe Art and Ghosts. This is one amazingly talented woman. I spent hours here, too. I can honestly tell you that I have viewed every one of her Flickr images.

Girl Hula. I love this girl. I love this project. I love these colorful, happy pictures. To look at them is joyous - like spotting a double rainbow.

Honeypie Living has wonderful sensibility, and her eye is amazing. I want to live in these images.

Sakura*Aya is oneof the most phenomenal photographers I have ever encountered. Her work is incredible. How does she do that?
Sursum corda. Lift up your heart.
The photo above is called Vine of a Cucumber and is by Sakura*Aya. (Link is above.)

Oh, I love Sakura*Aya! I had a field day favoriting photos before I realized I could make her a contact (still learning the nuts and bolts of flickr).

I forgot about the Library of Congress, thank you for the reminder. You have given me lots of fun ways to lose myself online. I am still catching up with all of your other lovely posts, too!

Thanks for your kind words on my blog ! They mean so much to me. I haven't really spent much time on flickr for the fear that I would become addicted...but I've been trying to photograph more recently so I think I might be converted very soon! Happy Wednesday-Jessica

Wow...and double wow!!!

I just spent the past hour or so glued to my screen. Completely taken with sakura's images. I looked at all 1034 of them.
Stunning.

Thanks so much for sharing this...I am looking forward to coming back and checking out these other links once my eyes have stopped bugging out.

I wish all of you that are enjoying Relyn's look at life through her blog could see the bouncing, passionate, physical joy she takes in the daily beauty she finds. She gets so excited by the "candy trail," as she calls it. She is my great joy.

Hey you!
Such beautiful sites you sent us all to. I thought I was the only one that could spend hours dreaming away, while looking at flicks.

I kind of love wrapping myself in your blog for hours as well, it's absolutely, enchanting :)

Thank you so much for stopping by and offering your words of wisdom. I do appreciate it so much, whether we know each other well or not. :)

Yes, my kiddos are still in elementary school. At the time of the vacations, my son will be in 4th and my daughter in 2nd. By the time he has them for Thanksgiving again in 2 years, my son will be in 6th grade and at that point, I think it would be more difficult.

You know what's really funny? The kids had a book swap at school the other day and my son came home with a couple books that he was so excited to start reading. One of them I had never heard of, "By the Great Horn Spoon". And today, I was looking at your profile and that's listed under your favorite books. How neat is that?

Hope you're having a great weekend!

What a sweet comment from your husband! He sounds like a great guy who really appreciates what (who) he has.

I always love Jek's images--always so colorful and fun! I'll have to go check out some of your other flickr recommendations. Thanks!

I am so pleased that so many others discovered, or rediscovered, lots of wonderful talent via Flickr Love. You know, finding great talent and passing it along is what I most enjoy doing. I'm glad you all enjoyed this post. You can expect another one like it before too long.

Oldies, but Goodies
