Steady Joys

I am feeling thankful for the steady joys that fill my life. Seasonal bounty. Telephones: for connecting to friends, for calling my mom each day. Music: listened to, danced to, and practiced on the piano. Good food, presented beautifully. Lettering, graphics, and good parties. Books, flowers, and soft interiors. My precious, gorgeous Sloane. Holding hands: with Jeffrey, with Sloane, with my students. All the yummy goodness that can fill a mailbox. Fairy tales and Disney magic. Writing in my journals. Nature's beauty. Twirling.

What are your steady joys?

Beautiful pictures! My steady joys are coming home after a long day of being away to a family that I love, dogs who wag their tails so hard thier whole bodies shake, candlelight, a good book, friends that I always know I will have a good time with, and connections with others.

Hi Relyn,

Right now I am in such a hurry and it seems to get worse the closer we get to Christmas.

Warm socks that I knitted myself. Earl Grey with lavender. Deep sleep from which I awaken refreshed. Salted caramel on top of whipped cream on top of the perfect cup of hot chocolate.

your mosaic says it all !
aren't those little pieces of steady joy the best ?

mine can be very simple. sharing a burger with my boyfriend, watching a movie and we're simply happy..

What a lovely concept - steady joys! For me, walking in my neighborhood and finding a new acorn, berry, or seed that I don't have in my collection yet.

Beautiful mosaic! That document with the gorgeous calligraphy - there's a joy!
