"It is foolish to wish for beauty. Sensible people never either desire it for themselves or care about it in others. If the mind be but well cultivated, and the heart well disposed, no one ever cares for the exterior." ~Anne Bronte

I totally agree with you on both accounts! There are alot of stories in each wrinkle on that ladies face. She looks so elegant!
i like the quote about beauty at 60 being your souls own doing...
all images of depth and lovliness..I like the artistic look of #5
watch for birdy coming...
Hello Relyn,
Froma male perspective (!) I think the girl in the second photograph seems to have a natural beauty. Emerson's quote also speaks true. It would be lovely to think that Anne Bronte's words were true but, sadly, there are too many who seem to think otherwise!
to me the second one is the most beautiful - fresh and natural , she seems to have an inner beauty that shines through her smile.
cripes...I couldn't pick...all the pictures and the quotes are soooo great !!!
what a beautiful post. i love the third quote - it is perfect to share with a special lady in my life with an upcoming milestone birthday! i can't choose a favorite picture, but will call it a tie between #2 & #3.
I can't even pick a favorite! All the quotes and photos are great!!
I liked the third quote as well! I think the inside as we grow older has a lot to do with how the outside looks.
Hi there!
Congrats to a new breeze in your country!

I love them all.
Love you
I agree with you...
Third picture and second quotation!
Warms the heart too, so much beauty in this wonderful post!
When I was in middle school my best friend's aunt, Aunt Gup, told me the best advice about beauty. We were in middle school and camping. It was raining and muddy, her baby daughter had been up all night crying in the tent. Everything was wet and we were miserable. However, middle schoolers we were so off to the showers to get clean and dressed in our 'cool' clothes. Gup said, someday that just won't matter. You'll realize someday what true beauty is and it's not all those clothes and earrings, its everything else." Now I realize what beauty is..and those quotes and pictures only reminded me of those wonderful words of wisdom.
All of them so beautiful in such a different way.
I love it!
Women are power.
I agree. The woman in the third photograph reminds me of a friend of mine who is younger but has a similar beauty, style and elegance about her. And yes, the quote about beauty and personality is true.
The most clasically beautiful is No.4; but everyone of these pictures/women is stunning!!!!
And, I nominated you for a Your Blog if Fabulous Award.......go to my latest entry for the scoop.
I recognize that last image from Memoirs of a Geisha. They are all beautiful.
A beautiful post on beauty, and lovely quotes.
Much love to you, beautiful you.

Hello
The second photograph - it seems so genuine, honest and open. Relyn, I also adore the photograph of little you. You seem to be so thoughtful and at the same time chirpy. Have a nice weekend.
