The Sweetest Spot

We're home again. Deep sigh. I do love to travel, but there is no sweeter place than home. For the first time in three loooooooong weeks, we're all together and all alone again. Peace. Sweet, sweet peace.

Yes, our body clocks are all messed up - just look at the time stamp on this post. Yes, we have a pile of putting away to do. Yes, I have about a thousand pictures I want to share. Yes, there is a rather large pile of laundry waiting, and a trip to WalMart is definitely in order. Yes, I am dying to visit you and find out all I've been missing. Yes, I have about 23 posts bubbling in my brain. Yes, our cat is so happy we're home that she's bugging the fazoozle out of all of us. Still. It is so good to be home.

I snapped this photo about 7 minutes ago. Thought you might like a peek at Team Lawson and what we do when we should be sleeping, but can't. Just out of the frame you'll find my legs under the laptop and Jeffrey on the floor with a book and a pillow. In all the world, this place, exactly here, is the sweetest spot.

I love this post, Relyn! I know so well that coming-home feeling you describe here, and I can think of few things more wonderful. Plus, this photo makes my heart melt.
Can I tell you how much I loved your comments last night? Yesterday was a tough, tough day, and your words gave me a much-needed lift. Indeed, I think you are right; we ARE cousins! How lucky for me!

Getting back home and into your own bed (at whatever time that finally occurs) is a wonderful ending for even the best and most-enjoyed trips.... I always look forward to that moment.

yes. home sweet home. there is nothing like it in this world. sinking into your favorite spot on the couch, the sounds you hear when the people you love are reading, the feel of your cat running his (or her? i forget.) body all along the edges of you and sloan and jeffrey. i just love the fact that home is the best place for me and that the longing to travel is a part of that and not the biggest wish of my heart. I'm looking forward to all of your thoughts, writings and images!

Welcome home! You are right, there is no place like home - I can always feel a special warmth washing over me when I return from vacation - this is where I'm meant to be. Those are the best times - when all the family is together yet doing their own thing. Those times fly by too quickly. ENJOY!!!

What a lovely picture. And I just adore her pajamas.. I think I might actually wear those.

I can't wait to hear all about SF. And thank you for catching up on my blog, you'll never know the excitement I get from seeing your lovely comments.

It is wonderful to travel, but then wonderful to return home. Now are those Hanna Andersson pj's I see in the picture?

Thanks for visiting me at Delights of the Heart. I would so love to have tea with you the next time you are in the Portland area. I am hoping to also meet Robyn, your traveling friend. I always enjoy reading your posts.

Your sweet spot is way toooo sweet when I put that picture all together! Love you dear friend! Just thought of you and had to come over and share the perfect quotation for us when we have our art/girl/Lolas/?? days ~ "Those who live within their means do not have an active imagination -Oscar Wilde. Want you to know whenever your ready to get out from under your laptop, that I am too! And we still have until the 7th or 12th, and that is a pretty decent length of time ~ don't ya think? <3 Katie

You hit it; spot on!

The jammies, the cat, the sofa...a book, a pillow...a big comfy chair, the "puter" and all we love comfortably resting at our feet...It simply doesn't get better than this....

Oldies, but Goodies
