Pink is such a delicious color.
It can be innocent, like the ribbon running through the lace of a christening dress.
Or as sweet as cotton candy.
Pink can be bold and blustery, like neon lights burning through the night.
Or exciting, like a pink-scrawled address or a brilliant umbrella.
Pink can be hopeful, like a girl with Bonnie Bell on her lips.
Pink can be unexpected.
Or just right.
It can remind you of a little girl.
Or a sophisticated lady.
Pink can be the color of courage.
The color of a ribbon.
The color of survival and of loss.

I love this post, and I love that you had the "courage" shot. My family hasn't been touched (yet) by breast cancer, but as women we are all in this together. I love that you support our "sisters" in this way. The photos and words were perfect.

Such a beautiful collection of images, Relyn! I particularly love the just-right 1940's outfit, the refrigerator, and the grosgrain ribbons! And, of course, wonderful sentiments!
Relyn,
What a perfect way to celebrate the lives of the women who have not only sacrificed and lost but those that have survived and won! This is a worthy post! Love that pink vintage refrigerator!
