Ahhhhhh...

My heart is light. My feet are happy. My soul is glad. I am home.

Home. Such a sweet word.

Sweeter still because I know I have to leave it only if I choose for four whole days. Four days!!

Jeffrey is at the grocery store. I told you he was the perfect man. Sloane is playing in the other room with her best friend. My house is spotlessly clean and smells delicious. My piles from last night have been dealt with. Tomorrow two of our favorite people arrive to spend Thanksgiving with us. He comes bearing a turkey. She comes with art supplies. We provide the house, the killer dessert, and a few games.

I can't wait!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Eve, my friends.

P.S. I love how your family remembers to express thankfulness every day.... I really need to do better at that. I think we'll adopt your idea beginning tonight as we get ready for bed. Thank YOU for sharing!

Hi Relyn,

I think I can smell the turkey! And those vintage pieces your friend makes look super - even you in BIG spectacles?!

Have a Happy Thanksgiving and thank you for your lovely thoughts.

First of all, I love the title of your blog (and I am visiting from Lala's place).

Secondly, my husband is also pretty cool...he picked up the last-min. items for today's Thanksgiving feast last night while I stayed in with the kiddies and nursed a cold.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your gang! Enjoy the feast!!

A killer dessert...I wonder what it was?

And a clean house, only to be playfully destroyed again by cooked dishes, then piled high with food dishes, then dirty dishes, desserts, games and favourite people filling your living space with laughter and cheer...and the season has only just begun!

Oldies, but Goodies
