... and miles to go before I sleep

I am tired. So tired. My body aches with it kind of tired.

I still have a table full of things to put away/find a home for/straighten. Because I'm a ding-dong. Because I always start one small organizing/cleaning/straightening project and let it snowball into a huge project. Always.

I have about four loads of laundry to do. At least one of them must happen tonight. Sloane must have underwear for tomorrow, you know.

I am tired. The kind of tired that has me writing 50+ words and still not tell you the point of this post. Tell you this one simple fact: I had a terrific day! It was delicious and exciting and encouraging. The kind of day that lets me know I can never stop being an elementary school teacher. Oh, it was a good day.

But, it left me exhausted. So, for now, I'll let the picture speak for me.

It was a good day! I hope yours was, too.

Hi Relyn,

Can't believe I'm first! Hope you've had a good sleep and are all set to strew leaves everywhere once more!

I understand that tired feeling! But it was a good day. I am blessed to be in America with family and friends and celebrating this Thanksgiving with plenty of food on the table! Happy Thanksgiving, my sweet, wonderful, giving niece! I love you.

I want to go back to elementary school just to have you for a teacher. The joy on their faces is fantastic!!! Sigh.

I am the queen of turning small organizing tasks into big projects! So difficult to rein in. I'm thrilled you had a great day but a tad concerned that you spread yourself too thin. Have a glorious Thanksgiving!

Love the missing front teeth in the photo.

I understand completely that kind of tired...and even though it was most likely caused by the little ones, this time of year causes another kind of tired to me...and it all has to do with holidays....

one of these years...maybe next year....I'm off to a third world country or at least the local soup kitchen to give of my time and energy during the holidays...away from the malls and all the hub bub of what christmas is here....

is that wrong of me ?

You always find the silver lining. I don't like that kind of tired, but if it comes from a good place it is easier to handle.

Hooray for your wonderful day! And I'm like you with clean out/straighten up projects. I can make huge messes cleaning up!

Good tired is still tired. Take some time to just do nothing. Indulge in nothing
Oh I know what you mean about clearing the clutter and such....you must deconstruct before we can assign order....something my DH doesn't get after all these years. Organizing is a messy job!
Happy Thanksgiving with all the trimmings

Hey, is this a photo of your students cleaning up the schoolyard and planting spring bulbs? You are awesome teacher, Relyn. Look how happy those kids are!

Oh I know just how you feel- I do the same thing too. ALWAYS! And I always say this is the last time I will do things this way. And then I do it again. Why is that? LOL!

I'm thinking that is the kind of tired that is a satisfied tired...a reflection of a full life. Lived with gusto!

Oldies, but Goodies
