This is just my kind of walk. I stop to look at everything. Imagine how long it would take us to walk a mile together! But what a fun mile it would be. I've been missing you--have been caught up with wedding and house guests and all sorts of life nonsense. What a relief to stop over here for a spell.

I'm loving the fall already! I was also going to ask the same thing...what is the flowering tree?

Beautiful pictures!

I love all the details you captured, especially the leaf in the pavement.Oh yes, I would love to take an autumn walk with you and your sweet family. I think we'd talk about nothing in particular or lots of things in particular and not notice that our noses were frozen and that it was long past dark...

OMG Relyn, just look at those gorgeous pictures?!!!! You are going to have to come and give me lessons!

We don't really have a fall here so I just loved being able to enjoy it thru you. Thank you so much for bringing me a piece of autumn.

Now seriously, how do you get the focus like that.

CCDD - I'm not sure, but I think that's a Rose of Sharon. It's in one of the yards along our walk to the park.

It's with pleasure I walk though your leaves ... ours have all fallen.

Most amazing pictures, Relyn. I can just smell the fallen leaves and there must also be a wood smoke smell around there too.

Our fall is completely over as of yesterday. 23 degrees when I woke this morning and another wild and wooly and windy day in store for us today.

Ski slopes are opening this week!

Oh.
Pictures 2 and 3....the beautiful bokeh!
If only that colour would linger just a wee bit longer...why does it seem that autumn moves faster than the other months?

This season just astounds me!

When walking the dog turns into the festival of colors and delights you've shared here, well, it's like God is showing off, just a little bit.

Thanks for sharing the glory of your walk!

Thanks for the pretty walk together, Relyn. Autumn is beautiful in your neck of the woods. Btw, is that you dog? If so, I didn't know you had a dog! What's her/his name?

Elizabeth Halt said...

So much beauty.

(And I loved the glimpse of the dog! Hint, hint. ;)

There's something about flowers in autumn where they take on an extra beauty, even more than in spring, because their beauty is made up in part of a kind of tenacity - they're lasting against colder weather, they're hanging onto bare branches and twigs from which they'll soon be expelled.

I love these photos, and all the frailty and strength and beauty of autumn.
