sweeping up what fell through the cracks

You know how you have these wonderful experiences and, right there in the middle of them, you think, "I can't wait to blog about this!"? You know what I mean, I know you do. But then, you finally get home and you do the laundry, clean the house, catch up on your chores, and before you know it... that wonderful experience fell through the cracks. Well, today is a bit of my random detritus - swept up.

party skirt
I did have those Moo cards made. Here's just one of them. You have got to get some.

a field of sunshine
We took a trip to Springfield, IL this past summer with my parents. If possible, you have GOT to go. If you do, be sure to go to New Salem, too.

never too old
I've been working on my spending time goal. Today Mom and I are having a day together, just the two of us.

meet Miss Maudie and Eliza Bennett
We got puppies! I have never really had a dog. Who knew they could be such fun??

station wagon, second grade style
And, of course, I have been spending a lion's share of my time at school.

they love me
And then there's my birthday. But, that really deserves a post all it's own.

What about you? What fun things have been falling through the cracks lately? Why not sweep them up and show them off? Let us see what's been happening in your life. Please?

Sweet! Your puppies are so cute. I got a new "puppy", too, last Friday, and she is so precious. I worked all week for a change and looks like I will next week, too. Yay! And now the weather is cool enough to have dinner on the patio and "sit by the fire" outside in the evening.

Have I told you how much I love your photos? Especially that soft focus thing you do. I wish I knew how to do that. Have a super weekend! xxoo

I posted about field trips today on one blog, incarceration of Japanese people in internment camps in WW Two, and yoga classes on my various blogs today. But with the new writing job and an online class with short story writing assignments, a lot of things are falling through the cracks. I've thought about using a digital recorder. . . but I'd probably forget where I put it.

I LOVE the idea of sweeping it all up! :) So many times I do that very thing...think 'WOW! I have to blog about this!' and then get distracted by real life.

Your new puppies are adorable! :)

Relyn, it was so kind of you to visit and wish me a Happy Thanksgiving, thank you.
Your post describes me for sure; so much to share, and photos, but I never seem to find the time. I'm hoping when winter is here I can achieve more.
If you ever find out where the socks go....let me know!
Hugs,
Judith

What a lovely reminder to slow and and enjoy every little (and big) thing.

We got a new puppy this year, too, a Bull Terrier, we love her to pieces, especially now that she doesn't eat shoes and toys as much.

PS: Happy happy birthday!

PUPPIES!! Oh, how sweet are they! What are their names? Will there be fun puppy tales here now too?! ;o) I hope so. Hope you had a WONDERFUL 40th celebration, my friend--you should be celebrating all year. Love the photos here. Tomorrow I'm writing about a different kind of project I've started behind the scenes. And I'm getting back to to my once a week tea & writing ritual. It feels so great! Happy Weekend ((HUGS))

Love the pink ruffles!! I haven't been to New Salem since I was a little girl. I've been wanting to visit the new Lincoln library, too.

I just love that you captured these lost pieces, what a treat for us!

The events and the images are so wonderful. Posting them all together weaves together a beautiful story - the story of your days.

Belated and heartfelt happy 40th birthday! It's a truly wonderful time of life!

So much happening and so many beautiful shots. And yes, I do know what you mean, I tend to stop blogging altogether because I can't figure out to write the post to a certain picture.

I love catching up with you in so many ways. I've been blog-absent (if it wasn't for preposting, I couldn't post at all)! Nice to be back!
