questions

January, 2011

From time to time, I post something straight out of my journal. I call them my SOOJ posts. Today's is from the pages I wrote first thing this morning.

Monday, January 31, 2011

A month gone by. One out of twelve already past. How did I spend it? Did I spend it well? Did I pursue my passions and my interests? Did I serve God by serving others? Did I have self-control and offer proofs of love? Did I spend time with Sloane and make her feel special, adorable, wonderful? Did I parent well? Did I make each day, each moment count? Did I serve Jeffrey or only allow myself to be served? Did I perform well at work and give my boss more than I was paid for? Did I truly live the values that I hold? Did I spend time each day in the Word? Did I spend time each day in prayer? Did I spend time each day in worship? Did I call my mother every day? Did I focus on paying more attention to friends and what is going on with them? Did I remember that my priority is people over productivity? Did I cherish the people with whom I share my life? Did I really do my best with the tasks before me? How well did I live in January? How did I live?

just the fact that you asked these questions of yourself tells you did all and more

Oh the questions you ask yourself. Just by asking you are precious! So many don't care to think how they did for the month.

Your's is an examined life. You inspire me!

I want to ask your questions of myself. Specific questions are so much better than a blanket, "How did I do in Januray."

Those are very hard questions to ask yourself, but knowing you, you did them all! You are the most loving gal that anyone could ask for. Your family, your students, your co-workers all feel you love! I love you!

A lot of good substantial questions that we could all ask ourselves. Some I pass, some I fail, now there's February and another chance to really get it right. Blessings, Diane

You have inspired me to ask more questions of myself today. I am pretty sure that you have accomplished much of what you desire, as your intentions are so beautiful and honorable.
These are definitely late night, sitting by the fireplace kind of questions, that allow and encourage us to look inside ourselves and gain strength from our goodness or be mindful that tomorrow is another day of opportunities.
Blessings to you.

I do love your music too.

Such a mindful presence
...I'm inspired.
And as for the answers,
there is grace enough.
Always grace enough:)

What thoughtful questions, Relyn. It's good to be reflective on how we live our lives. I'm taking note. Good post!

Relyn, I have something for you on my latest post. Please check it out. I love you.

Beautiful questions to make to ourselves Relyn, because we forget to practise many of them too often and it is a good idea to remind us from time to time as you do.

For whatever reason I lost your blog and I was not following you lately so I have mended it and I am following you again. Have a beautiful week!

Your wonderful questions alone are a great insight into your wonderful character. I'm sure you lived very well, enriching the lives of others and cherishing you blessings. xo

Your quiet questions show the soul of a Godly, kind and loving woman. And they say more about you than the answers.

Great questions, and I have to admit that I was a little shocked when i realized that the first month was POOF already gone. Where did it go, and did I spend it the best that I could? In my case, there is much room for improvement! :) love you, my friend. xo

You have such a heart of purpose....of wanting to be more and do more for others. I admire that in you, Relyn. I'm sure you did great for January!

Just a guess, but I bet the answer to most of those questions is yes -- you did serve well, give and remember your priorities. And the fact that these thoughts are on your mind, that simply speaks volumes.

I love those four pictures together! Love them.

With you, Relyn, it's all about how you make the people around you feel loved. You are so good at taking care of others...I hope you are taking care of your sweet self as well!

Oldies, but Goodies
