making time for me

One of my favorite things to do is go to Barnes and Noble and browse.
When my pile gets too unwieldy to carry, I take the huge pile of books and magazines to the cafe.
I order a Godiva chocolate cheesecake, put in my earphones, and sigh.
I just sit and read and savor.

Yes, we all need a little time alone to do nothing much at all.

I am so glad you are finding some ME time. I agree it is very important. I just finished reading a complex book written by a complex author!!! and a delightful book for young adults which even taught me a lot.
Books can be good friends, but I am glad you found some time to share with your friend as well. Happy hols.

Isn't it great to have time to do this?! B&N is my favorite go-to place when I have a few minutes (hours) to spare. Simply divine to be surrounded by books and magazines with an iced coffee in my hand.

Godiva chocolate cheesecake... Excuse me while my mouth waters.

I love Godiva. Recently I saw a photo of their chocolate-dipped strawberries, and I stared at it with longing.

Totally agree about having time for yourself. Bookstores and libraries are a good place for that.

I love Barnes and Noble but the closest one to me is nearly a 4 hour drive. However we are traveling this weekend and I have my fingers crossed for a a quick stop there.

I got sidetracked because I had to go check out that Sandra Dallas book in your pic. I have only read one of her books but enjoyed it :)

Great post!

I was reading through my old blog posts and read where people--you!--had prayed for me or my family and it meant so much to me again. Just wanted to let you know that it was appreciated and I've prayed for you and yours lately. Have a blessed summer.

Looks heavenly! The Barnes & Noble is always the first stop when my son and I go to Mayo once a year.

Oh I didn't know they had goodies like that, now I am tempted. Years ago when I was going through a difficult time in my life I use to hang out on a couch at the Barnes and Nobles near me, but I didn't have cheesecake or earphones. Still it is a very good thing.

Oldies, but Goodies
