Friday Faves

*Big moment this week: Sloane put herself to bed Thursday night for the first time.  When we asked her if she wanted us to tuck her in, she politely demurred.  I thought, It's too soon! and cried just a little bit.

*Image of the week: Letizia Gilioli's arrivederci

*A song: This one captures how I felt driving home on this perfect evening.

*Source of inspiration: my Art Journaling pin board

*Want it: a piece of whimsy I really wish someone would make for me

*Quote of the week: "If grace is an ocean, we're all sinking." ~ Ann Voskamp, via my friend, Katie

*Book of the Week: Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life by Amy Krouse Rosenthal.
(If you try it, keep reading.  It takes some time to warm up to this one.)

There are lots of these moments as children grow up. Some of them just stay in your heart and you remember it from time to time.

Oh, man, The Commitments! Loved that movie, love that song! Thanks for reminding me how much, my friend. I have been away for ages, and I am so excited to return and find your fabulously revamped look! This is so much fun! You rock, Relyn. I hope you are having a wonderful fall. I'm sorry I fell off the planet for a bit. Buying the house, moving, and then painting, fixing up, etc. basically swallowed me whole for the past month. It's so, so good to touch base with you again. Big hugs, Gigi

They do grow up so quickly, don't they? Sigh.

Thankfully, it's also thrilling to see them fly! :)

I do love your favorite things . . .

Big moment for sure, Sloane is growing into whole she will become. Love visiting the whimsy and seeing the patterns there.
