Christmas time is here.

Amid the hustle and bustle of the season,
it is so easy to allow ourselves to become stressed
instead of joyful.

As the hectic quality of the holidays
begin to take over your heart and attitudes,
I'd like to share a few thoughts that help me.

People matter more than pretty.
Compassion is more important than cookies.
"Welcome to my home" is more important than wrappings.

Happy holidays, friends.

Beautifully said. I agree with you 100%. And with that attitude I'm sure that we'll both have the happiest of holidays.

So True! Beautiful Mantel--I'm thinking of stealing your star!

You are so right. Every now and then when I see the crazy shopping frenzy, I get a little freaked out and sad. Getting to the mall to spend more and buy more is not what the holiday is all about. Thanks for saying it - and showing it - so beautifully.

Thanks Relyn for the reminder. I still haven't put all my decorations together. I've made some cool stuff but just can't get in the mood to change everything. Hope you enjoyed your book!

Your mantle looks so beautiful and I love your sentiments........
We don't need Christmas in our hands we need it in our hearts.

Spread the love
Scatter the joy

Love you

I totally agree! When people ask how our Christmas was I always say perfect because our daughter was there and that's what makes it Christmas for us.

So very true!
The mantle is beautiful!
Love the backdrop of the window.

So true! I watched Rick Steves Christmas special awhile back and I loved the simplicity of the Christmas celebration in other countries. Cookies, a candle in the window, a shared meal. We're so use to big and flashy, it can be easy to lose sight of the good stuff!
