a spring-y list

Week 8 of the Wednesday Lists, Part 2
Prompt: List ways you can celebrate spring

A Spring-y Celebration

* do the seasonal clothing switch; put away my winter clothes with care and gratitude * change the candles and potpourri to this  * get a bright pink pedicure and break out the sandals * Read Enchanted April again * then, watch it * pick (or buy) armfuls of daffodils and put them all over the house * throw open every window * pack away the warm throws and heavy quilts * switch the pillows to pretty floral versions * check the mail barefooted * go on photowalks and capture the glorious dogwoods as they bloom * take the dogs for long, long walks * find a bunny to cuddle * fly a kite * bring fresh flowers into my classroom * begin making summer plans * clean out the linen closet, the junk drawer, and under the sink * wash all the windows till they gleam * plant the mailbox bed with phlox and clematis * plan a wonderful Mother's Day for our moms * go to the park and swing and swing and swing * take long, long walks at twilight * toss a Frisbee * make time at least once a week to sit and watch the sunset *

What about you, friends?  What are your favorite ways to celebrate spring?

We're still waiting for the snow to melt here. These sound like great ideas for when spring does come.

Hi Relyn!

Beautiful photo!

We're celebrating spring with a summery day in the garden, having a lovely dinner for D's birthday. We have lots of daffodils, cherry blossoms, tulips and robins. A perfect spring day!

Your list is perfect. I am wearing my Spring clothes and was in an antique shop today and someone commented that I looked Springy. I looked around and others still were wearing their sweaters and long pants. It felt soooooo good to wear Spring with my little ballets. Yesterday I went to the country with my camera and had a delightful Spring time adventure.

The ritual of re-reading and watching The Enchanted April is a must here. :o) Earth Day is a celebration I like to add too. Right now rejoicing that tulips leaves are just beginning to pop up in the garden. Happy Days, Relyn ((HUGS))

My favourite ways to enjoy spring: bringing out my summer clothes; going for walks around Aberdeen to visit my favourite daffodils / peonies / lilac; wishing on a star while it is still a bit dark before I go to bed; WEEDING!!

Your post made me tear up. Those simple ordinary things we take for granted. So few are a part of my life as I live away from home right now.
I have never read Enchanted April. Going to put that on my library list.
And yes, in answer to our visit to my blog, I do love my camera and how it opens my eyes to things around me that I would not have seen before.

This photograph is so beautiful,, Relyn!
I have been spending a lot of time outside with my camera. The winters here are so long, and it's so wonderful to see everything come alive again.

I just did the seasonal clothing switch yesterday. I feel so much lighter and more organized.
Your list of spring loveliness is perfect. I wish this season lasted a little bit longer than the others. Then again, I say that in the fall too. ;)

Oldies, but Goodies
