- be generous; with time, money, and good cheer
- sing along to the Christmas music playing in the malls and grocery stores
- Read How the Grinch Stole Christmas aloud to children
- Watch It's A Wonderful Life
- tie a wreath (or a red nose) to the front of your car
- clean up as you go
- spend more time with your family than shopping for them
- read something light, just for you, just for fun
- make Christmas Crack; eat it without guilt
- attend a Christmas Eve candlelight service
- go outside at midnight on Christmas Eve and sing Silent Night as you stargaze and count your blessings
