it's so cool to see it all through your eyes all over again! it is almost as though i wasn't there :0 i love, love the reflection of the Haight! but those weird heads...where on earth were those?! it is so much fun to live it over and over and over again!
xo
it is almost midnight here and hotter than a hot skillet so i will have to delay my colorful photograph and i think i should demonstrate my color combo rather than try to describe with words.
hope you're getting back in the sweet swing of home :)
Well, that does it! I absolutely have to visit this wonderful, colorful art-filled city!!! I have heard so much about it and now your pictures have convinced me!! Beautiful job on these shots!!
I love your colorful photos and seeing San Francisco through your eyes. Now I want to dig through my old photographs to see what I came up with on my visit.... My guess is that my camera was pointed towards my little girl 99.9% of the time!
Oh these are gorgeous, I adore the 'happy buildings'...I'm dashing and will come back to share my colourful photo but couldn't pass up a chance to say hello! xx
You've convinced me I must go to San Francisco. I love how you captured the cheerful parts of the city!

My favorites always

Hi, Relyn! Catching up on your SF sights...GORGEOUS! These juicy-colored shots are great way to wake up my morning...thanks for sharing! Happy week, my friend :o)
So colorful and...you seem to have the greatest time there !!
i was wondering whether you've been able to meet Julie ?
Is it hot in your part of the world? here it's positively boiling!
sending you waves of love...
:-)
and...dear Relyn, thank you so much for your lovely words and constant support. I was so happy to see you on my new blog Un mariage au soleil
xoxo

i love the colors you captured in these photos. To choose a favorite colorful photograph would be very hard but the first one that comes to mind is one of T that she took in Hawaii when she was 14. One of my favorite color combinations is redbud purple and spruce green. But I don't like to choose favorites.
your photos from your trip are amazing....
you really captured what your heart was seeing along with your eyes....
and color...
I'm a black and white lover with a little lime green mixed in for some pop....
Hey, these are so fun! More, please! I love them, and now I want you to come back again soon.
xoxo
San Francisco is one cool city, isn't it? I remember asking my parents if we could move there when I was ten. The lyrics..."the girls with flowers in their hair"...was playing on the radio at the the time and I thought it must be a beautiful place to live. And apparently it is!
What are the masks for? They look like Mexican wrestling masks...are they for a certain festival?
And the store windows seem to have a hippie nostalgia about them...did you see any ex-hippies (or new hippies) walking in that neighborhood?
I'm enjoying these photo tours, Relyn, so please keep them coming!
beautiful beautiful shots.
my favorite colorful place is rainbow row in Charleston
Wowee! Wonderful photos, Relyn! My favorites are the first one and the Kerouac because I live in Lowell, Kerouac's hometown, and I was the Kerouac Writer-in-Residence at the university here this year. I have a real soft spot for him.
I love your eye--you have such a good sense of color and form. Always a delight to visit here, my friend.
Hi Relyn!
Thank you for your visits-I love your comments thanks! I have enjoyed visiting your blog and will be back again soon! I am trying to think of my favourite colourful picture and will let you know if I do!
Sarah :)
I wish we had more "happy buildings" in my town. I love living in the country, but I do really miss having access to more non-traditional things!
Thanks for the "tour"!
SF is definitely a colorful city in so many ways. I love it. Love, love, love your pictures!
I don't have a picture that I can think of right now, but now you have me thinking about it. I might just come up with something.
I have always loved yellow, it is a happy color. But the combination I like is green with pink in all different shades. I just painted my office sage green with a soft pink book shelf. I don't think I have ever had anything pink before. Maybe I am entering my pink stage in life.
Every single one of these is fabulous! I especially love the happy building. No, the signs are my fave. No...! I see another post below has the bridge, so I'm off to that one!
I have never been to SF but certainly feel the vibes the city evokes just by viewing your pictures. Love them!
I am muted person..soft colors and then pop everything with a little something chalk full of color.
love your pictures, Relyn! they are simply beautiful...somehow it reminded me of childhood...
my favorite color is white. my favorite color combination is white and black. i simply love black and white pictures...i dunno...it looks more nostalgic...serene...and romantic...lol!

beautiful shots...love all the happy colours.
my fav colour is green.
combo: red, yellow, green ;)
SF is a fascinating city -- i've felt so at home there on my visits.
Beautiful photos of your world:)
I love San Francisco a beautiful, vibrant city. Your photos are gorgeous and really make me want to visit there again.
Hmm favourite colour pic, http://www.flickr.com/photos/10751420@N07/2411855119/
fave colour combos, probably green and purple followed closely by red and yellow.
Reading you today has wrapped me in a blanket of radiant light my friend....
Ok on to colours...
I'm a big fan of blue... an azure sky, a cyan sea, a cornflower blue petal...
It has always soothed me somehow, reminded me of vast things,
of open skies and wild seas
of the soft breath of morning and the blue flame in the heart...
Sending Love my dear and beautiful friend,
to you, your beloveds and the circle that surrounds you,
Maithri

Isn't it one of the best cities in the world??!! I miss San Francisco. So glad you got the chance to experience it with good friends! xo
Thanks Relyn!
It was a bit of a fluke-a photo of one of my paper dolls that went a bit wrong-over exposed I think but I liked the effect!
the first photo is absolutely fantastic. that one i could have hanging on my wall. i love it.
Kerouac~ truly bliss! I am in love with these photos! This is the sweetest of tours. I do love Georgia O'keefe when it come to color. I devour color.
xo
I feel like I was almost there with you friend! I can almost feel the heat and hear the sounds! I like the first sign ~ a little steampunk art style going on there!
Lets see..favorite color combos..I really love light blue and red, and I also love green and blue and brown with pink, blue, tan, and of course black and white with a splash of red! I could go on & on!
Can't wait to have an Art/Play day ~ how about next week? Let me know.. XO

Hi Relyn,
I haven't photographed for quite some time. Leaving you with the url of an old blog post which has photographs
http://writerscyberslate.blogspot.com/2007/01/little-tibet-in-south-india.html
Tibetan temples are a riot of colours.
Thanks for sharing your SF experience.
Best,
Lubna
I love brown and pink together. Also lime green and bright orange, which are the colors of my towels.
love love love the color. and that first photo - WOW.
i don't know if i have a favorite color combination right now. but i am drawn to color. next to me, i have an orange barn star, lime green file boxes, and purple peonies. i love it. :)
Although I don't normally care for city-life and crowds of people, San Francisco is a wonderful place. I do love the quirky spirit of SF, and all the colors you captured so beautifully. Right now I'm really loving all the bright summer colors I see in nature. Yellow, orange and red are just jumping out at me right now! I've been scrapbooking in those vibrant colors and I've been having a ball cooking with veggies of those colors. Just so cheerful. Of course, I'm still so in love with brown. How can one go a day without loving brown! Brown with green, with blue, with pink, with buttery yellow. Absolutely gorgeous. Anyway, thanks for this beautiful post and for asking thought provoking questions. For some reason, I have no inhibitions when I leave a comment for you! I truly feel like I'm sitting on your hearth just talking your ear off! :o)
Linda
Mom love you love the post.
