it's so cool to see it all through your eyes all over again! it is almost as though i wasn't there :0 i love, love the reflection of the Haight! but those weird heads...where on earth were those?! it is so much fun to live it over and over and over again!
xo
it is almost midnight here and hotter than a hot skillet so i will have to delay my colorful photograph and i think i should demonstrate my color combo rather than try to describe with words.
hope you're getting back in the sweet swing of home :)

I love your colorful photos and seeing San Francisco through your eyes. Now I want to dig through my old photographs to see what I came up with on my visit.... My guess is that my camera was pointed towards my little girl 99.9% of the time!

i love the colors you captured in these photos. To choose a favorite colorful photograph would be very hard but the first one that comes to mind is one of T that she took in Hawaii when she was 14. One of my favorite color combinations is redbud purple and spruce green. But I don't like to choose favorites.

San Francisco is one cool city, isn't it? I remember asking my parents if we could move there when I was ten. The lyrics..."the girls with flowers in their hair"...was playing on the radio at the the time and I thought it must be a beautiful place to live. And apparently it is!

What are the masks for? They look like Mexican wrestling masks...are they for a certain festival?

And the store windows seem to have a hippie nostalgia about them...did you see any ex-hippies (or new hippies) walking in that neighborhood?

I'm enjoying these photo tours, Relyn, so please keep them coming!

Wowee! Wonderful photos, Relyn! My favorites are the first one and the Kerouac because I live in Lowell, Kerouac's hometown, and I was the Kerouac Writer-in-Residence at the university here this year. I have a real soft spot for him.
I love your eye--you have such a good sense of color and form. Always a delight to visit here, my friend.

I wish we had more "happy buildings" in my town. I love living in the country, but I do really miss having access to more non-traditional things!

Thanks for the "tour"!

SF is definitely a colorful city in so many ways. I love it. Love, love, love your pictures!

I don't have a picture that I can think of right now, but now you have me thinking about it. I might just come up with something.

I have always loved yellow, it is a happy color. But the combination I like is green with pink in all different shades. I just painted my office sage green with a soft pink book shelf. I don't think I have ever had anything pink before. Maybe I am entering my pink stage in life.

Every single one of these is fabulous! I especially love the happy building. No, the signs are my fave. No...! I see another post below has the bridge, so I'm off to that one!

I have never been to SF but certainly feel the vibes the city evokes just by viewing your pictures. Love them!
I am muted person..soft colors and then pop everything with a little something chalk full of color.

Reading you today has wrapped me in a blanket of radiant light my friend....

Ok on to colours...

I'm a big fan of blue... an azure sky, a cyan sea, a cornflower blue petal...

It has always soothed me somehow, reminded me of vast things,

of open skies and wild seas
of the soft breath of morning and the blue flame in the heart...

Sending Love my dear and beautiful friend,

to you, your beloveds and the circle that surrounds you,

Maithri

Although I don't normally care for city-life and crowds of people, San Francisco is a wonderful place. I do love the quirky spirit of SF, and all the colors you captured so beautifully. Right now I'm really loving all the bright summer colors I see in nature. Yellow, orange and red are just jumping out at me right now! I've been scrapbooking in those vibrant colors and I've been having a ball cooking with veggies of those colors. Just so cheerful. Of course, I'm still so in love with brown. How can one go a day without loving brown! Brown with green, with blue, with pink, with buttery yellow. Absolutely gorgeous. Anyway, thanks for this beautiful post and for asking thought provoking questions. For some reason, I have no inhibitions when I leave a comment for you! I truly feel like I'm sitting on your hearth just talking your ear off! :o)
