* A friend brought me a chocolate donut and we spent some time laughing this morning. * My daughter and one of her best friends exchanged clothes. Can she already be old enough for that? * Well, she's still young enough to have clubs with secret handshakes. Three of them are practicing right now. * It's Friday!! * I have more dancing planned with my students. * The weather is nice enough for outside recess. Oh, thank God! * I have a hot pink cyclamen glowing in the window of my classroom; a gift from a student. * Figure skating was absolutely stunning last night. * I have a new hero. I've never been so happy to see someone earn a medal. * There are six boxes of books sitting on the floor of my classroom just waiting for us to explore them. * Sloane and Daddy have a date tonight. So do I. Mine is at home. Alone. *I hope your weekend is full of delights.

Happy Friday to you too!
I love the boxes of books waiting to be explored. We just got the first English readers at my school this morning. I'm giving them to my students next week. I'm so excited! Their first (simplified) stories in English; 'Little Women' and 'Oliver Twist' will keep each other company over the weekend.
cyclamens - so cheerful!
we made flowers today - with tissue paper and old fabric.
Happy Friday to you too! What an awesome idea for a post this is. I especially love those dates at home alone. They are so rare in my house. Enjoy it!
Ahhhhhh.....an evening at home...ALONE! Heavenly! And I envy you. Of course when I DO have an evening at home alone, I feel just that...alone. I have most of my days alone so I guess I should be satisfied.
Love your happy thoughts! Keep sharing! :)
You lured me over from "donuts" on the thumbnail of my blogroll! Have a lovely weekend, bloggy friend.
I love Fridays! And I wish I had six boxes of books waiting for me! That would be divine.
Ohhhh, boxes of books! What a delight. I loved the figure skating, too. Even though I'm from the U.S. I didn't want anyone to win that Bronse medal but Joannie Rochette. What an inspiration and and a true Olympic moment!
what a glorious day you're having - that's so beautiful
such pretty reflections. have a most wonderful Friday!
These ARE happy thoughts. I needed happy thoughts as I suck down lunch and sneak a few blogs, knowing full well I have to go back to a terrible mess when I'm done!
I love all you share
Blessings and much love
Jeanne♥
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
hugs, andrea
yes, the figure skating was stunning, wasn't it ... there is so much to being a true winner
Relyn, I have a new hero too, it amazed me that she was able to hold herself so together. It had to be heart wrenching for her. She handled herself with utter grace. I was so glad she got a medal. Glad you have a beautiful flower. You asked me about blue poppies, I have grown them, I take all the seeds from my poppies and just throw them in the ground. Usually the pink and reds, but occassionally a blue one comes up.
I love poppies. Have you grown the blue ones. Have a great weekend.
It sounds like bliss, especially the boxes of books and the date alone. Oh, and the dancing and the pink cyclamen and . . . oh, you know, all of it.
I LOVED your comments on my post. And I loved that you went all second grade to get to the front of the line!!! Made me blush.
xoxo Gigi
i had to Tivo Iceskating last night. can't wait to watch it tonight. yeah for Friday and leaving work on time.
have a beautiful weekend my friend.
So many joyful moments – thank you for sharing and enjoy your evening! And thank you for your beautiful comment – I can't tell you how much it meant! – g
Oh, just the thought of boxes of books to explore makes me happy! Have a great weekend, Relyn!
Relyn,
I truly treasure nights like you are having tonight, a date night alone while the hubby takes the kids out! WOO HOO! and here's to enjoying yourself.

Happy Friday indeed! Have a delightful time along at home. Those times are the very best for the soul.
The Canadian skater is the same age as my blonde daughter, and I'm the same age as her mother. I was holding my breath for her last night and I just couldn't stop feeling her pain and such sadness that her mom wasn't there to watch that shining moment. She (and her dad) are my heroes too.

Enjoy your weekend, ruh-Lynn! I saw this post and photo and thought of you.

What a perfect Friday.
For me, today I let myself drift aimlessly to wherever wanted to happen next. These are my best days. Relyn, I enjoy the spirit you are. Thankyou.
Such FUN! Friday--start of the weekend... love it! Happy Weekend to you & yours, Relyn! :o) ((BIG HUGS))
Don't you love a weekend start like that? How can it miss? Enjoy, enjoy enjoy!

Forget Love Thursday. That is a Love Friday if you ask me!! Have a wonderful weekend!! (Sounds like a great start!!)

Oh how I love that time alone in the house. Hope you had beautiful moments of silence!
you had donuts AND a night home alone? my heart, she beats for you.
:-)
I couldn't hold back the tears when I watched her skate, when I watched her win the medal. I cannot believe how much emotion these olympics have stirred in me!
My weekend was filled with painting Darren's porch and the front of his house! But I am thankful that I could do that and thankful that he is my son!
What a beautiful horse! And, lovely thoughts!
I had a palomino horse as a child and it still is my favorite color!
