good health

Week 6 of the Wednesday Lists, Part 2
Prompt: List the things that make you feel healthy: mind, body & soul.

mind
* trying new things * travelling new routes * learning something new every day * doing hard things * teaching * growing something * reading poetry * writing lists * setting goals * laughing * quiet time outside * people watching * making time for a retreat of silence * clean and tidy home and classroom * conversing with Jeffrey and Sloane * writing: in my journal, in a letter, for my students, on my blog * reading * creating beauty each day, whether it's the picture I make, the song I sing, the hug I give, or the prayer I whisper *
body
* hiking * drinking lots of water * taking long, aimless walks * skipping the late night snack * playing ball in the backyard with Sloane and Jeffrey * no longer needing my allergy medicine every day * laughing * eating asparagus * finally scheduling my annual exam * deep breathing * a good, long stretch * a massage * going to bed early from time to time * my skincare routine * sunshine * yummy salad for dinner * great night's sleep * eating fruit for dessert instead of chocolate * eating at home instead of out *
soul
* singing loud and long and BOLD * prayer, prayer, prayer * silly dancing * photography * offering thanks before meals * long drives: windows down, music up * family worship time * laughing * counting my blessings * daily time in the Word * our family habit of listing what we are thankful for each day * praise and worship time alone and with other believers * fresh flowers * rituals * eucharisteo * the soul-deep knowledge that I serve a risen savior *

I love that to help the soul you have sing loud! I sing in my car and it always makes me feel wonderful! I also have to remember that quote! It's ever so true!

Going to bed early from time to time... hehe... yeah, I have been trying to do this for a couple of months now. The results... not so good. For instance, it is now 1:11 am and I am up reading your beautiful blog.
I'm still working on this.

I've always loved that quote.

And I should print this list off . . . such a good reminder!

With that, Happy Good Friday, my friend! And happiest of Easter wishes, as well . . .

That's a great list, Relyn. I'm trying to do better about getting to bed earlier, but again I'm up late! It does take a conscious effort to take care of ourselves. Your list reminded me of this!
